Carrie, the few times I tried, yes I had the same problem. Now, if I use oil, i put it only at the ENDS of my hair. Baking soda does dry my oily hair out if used too frequently. So I scrub baking soda into my roots, but leave the ends alone, but if the ends start looking dry, I then put just a few drops of oil at the ends. Hope that helps!
I've been doing water only for years and I love it. The only time I will use shampoo is if somehow I get something in my hair that won't rinse out, but this only happens about once or twice a year.
what! I've heard of this before.. I don't understand it really though.. like, can't you just use more natural shampoo's and conditioners? I also know a few people who make their own shampoo with flax seeds and lavender, and simply condition with a little coconut oil, why did you decide to not use anything? I would love to know :) Thanks for the insight!
in Gratitude,
Megs
I know washing my hair less is better for it... have gone as long as 5-6 days at a time regularly but that's it. My head gets itchy and I get zits around the edges of my face if I let it go very long.
My hair is damaged from red highlights (grr, aveda ruiners - !) & responds really well to oil treatments at the ends... So I'm hesitant to use anything harsh or pure like lemon juice or vinegar. What do you do for treated hair?
Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
Soaking might help, I really don't know for sure. My father eats soaked dried chestnuts. The dried ones are really hard and they get a little bit softer when soaking them, but they are'nt as sweet soaked.
recently i have come to believe i may (not fully sure) have candida. mainly for the following reasons: after any cooked meal that is high in startches like say risotto the next day my head is so fuzzy and i think it may be even hungover or drunk. ...
This is what my mom recommends too. The thing is I live in a high-rise building in NYC, so I'm definetely not "grounded".
The grounding bed technology makes sense, but it doesn't feel natural to me. Has anyone tried it? Did you notice any changes...

I LOVE this post. you have nailed on the head so many things that I think, about religion, food, dogma, etc.
It's true that so many legalistic people do not realize that what they're doing may come off badly to others; just trying to find what is...
