Just to say hi and as I am very new to this all/any advice is gratefully accepted!!!!
Have just started with daily green smoothies at the moment and already starting to feel a bit livelier! I hope to be able to make the transition to full RAW to try it out for at least a month to see if it works for me.

Not sure the best way to go about this at the moment
Eek hadn't thought about the PH testing. After many days of feeling great I think my body has finally realised that the healthy food is here to stay and is having a wee reaction already! Spots ahoy!!!!! I guess this is the badness coming out!
Really am sooooo new to this! I will certainly be looking up your support blog and the other group that you mentioned. Thanks for that and congrats on 3 months.
Thanks so much for those links!! I am going to look them up right now!
Certainly has started it's own wee detox very quickly!!!! I don't think I have had spots like this since teenage years (half my life ago!!). Am going to try a couple of days off the green smoothies and try something else or maybe I should just hang on in there and let things happen! Not sure yet!!!!!
You are soooo right. I have been reading some very mixed things so far! Some saying that sprouts are poisonous to saying they are brilliant for you. I have grown some and will introduce to see what happens!
Kinda freaked me out a bit. Way before trying RAW I used to get sprouts in my organic box and never though anything of it. A friend mentioned that they can be poisonous so I had a wee look online. Seems to be even either way of the argument so will just keep an eye on how my body is reacting.
The ones I grew in a jar tasted great and much better than the ones in the organic box so I am sure they must be grand!!!
Was thinking about getting a sprouter to make sure that drainage and air circulation aren't an issue.

HI-I am brand new too so was really useful to find this discussion. |'ve just started having a green smoothie a day too and raw salads for lunch but that's it so far. I think I'm going to try and take it one meal at a time, next being breakfasts!
Hi there!! I'm kinda new at this raw living also. New to this site for sure! Nice to see others chatting about the same things I'm thinking. I also am having green smoothies and salads most of the time. Breakfast is a banana and spinach smoothie, then 1 hour later I eat whatever fruits are around....apples, blueberries, orange, etc. I find myself snacking on walnuts and almonds after my dinner smoothie though. Are they raw? They are organically grown, but does anyone know if nuts are raw? I buy blue diamond brand most of the time and Woodstock Farms brand.
Anyhow, welcome and let's be raw friends!

Hi El-bo,
You're absolutely right; sodium is not the problem, but sodium chloride, and inorganic mineral salt which always causes water retention and raises blood pressure. We don't need any of that.
Adrenal fatigue is indicative of overall exhaustion. When the body is already is exhausted and has no real energy left, it calls on the adrenal gland to produce adrenaline. The body doesn't have much of a choice because as we continue to force it ...
if sodium is consumed from natural sources then the body will be able to deal with it naturally...it won't be stored like toxins etc
water retention is the bodies way of diluting toxic matter....it will do this with salt (table. himalayan, sea, m...
