I am a new RAW (2 weeks) Vegan (108 days) and I have a quick question. I would love to read more about this incredible journey that I am on but I am not sure where to begin. There are so many things out there and I am just looking to my RAW family for some advice. What do you suggest???

I always recommend Edward Howell's Enzyme Nutrition to begin to understand what all the medical literature has to say aout the benefits of raw food. The research was compiled from 1946 until 1985, and features numerous upon numerous references the peer-reviewed medical literature about the benefits of consuming raw calories, and also the dangers of consuming too many cooked calories. Howell criticizes what he calls "the minus diet" - food minus its enzymes.
Here is what the book looks like:
Best of luck!

========================================================================
“Many of the intractable diseases have two causes. The first is the chief culprit: enzyme deficiency or undernutrition, the all-important, underlying, hidden predisposing first cause.
The second more highly advertised “cause” of disease can bring out trouble only if the first has done its work well. It comprises such mischief-makers as carcinogens, cholesterol, bacteria, X-rays, food additives, and tobacco smoke. I contend that those individuals getting more enzyme reinforcements from outside sources have better tools to deal with these damaging substances than those who have no such reinforcements."
what help me to pick up all the information quick and sometimes let fall pieces of a jigsaw in their right position is a little basic knowledge about the human body, how the digestion system works, what chemicals are.
Maybe do a lil'bit study with some university books (first year only...lol) about biology, physics and chemistry. Or am i going too far now?
Thanks Ian for book recomendation. I also forgot to mention: books by Anne Wigmore, Dr Gabriel Cousens and Angela Stokes. Although I have not read Anne Wigmore's books she is one of the pioneers of raw foods.
Brigitte Mars "RAWESOME!" was the first raw food book I ever bought. I found the recipes were simple, easy to follow, not a lot of strange ingredients. Included inside the book are many explanations on why raw is best, encouraging, helpful hints...
