Give it to me Raw

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Johnnie and I'm new to Raw foods.

I'm just like a few of you who've started off eating a lot of fruits and nuts. I'm incorporating my greens into juices/smoothies. I find it's a very easy and delicious way to get my greens by at least mixing them with a few fruits to cover the taste. I am hoping to get to that point where I won't have to though. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nice to meet everyone!

LEAVE WHILE YOU CAN... THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY!!! Haha I'm just kidding the people on here are awesome and can help you lots! The benefits of raw foods are amazing and nothing can compare to the feeling of being raw after the initial detox. Good luck!

After the initial detox? Please elaborate.

Well once you go 100% raw your body will begin to clean itself out and this can be very rough on you. You could get severe headaches, bad runny noses, and loss of energy. You will be detoxing for months or even years if you stay raw but the really bad part is the 1st week, after that it's not much of a big deal. You will feel amazing and have crazy energy! A nice smoothie to drink every morning is...
1 Banana
1 scoop Hemp Protein
2 cups Kale Juice
3 Cups Spring water
2 cups frozen blueberries

Very simple and lots of nutrients!

It's interesting you say that because ever since I've been eating raw I've had those very symptoms. I always thought eating this way would give me energy and make me feel good. I suppose I'm in that detox phase then. Thank you for sharing!

Also, I have shelled hemp seeds, I'm sure that would be the same as using the hemp protein? Same applies to fresh kale. Don't have a juicer so that's out of the question.

You have a blender? I have a juicer but don't use it cuz it's a pain to clean. Just put some kale and spring water into a blender and blend for a minute or so... then strain it... that simple!

Ooh really? Wow, that is easy :-) What do you do with the excess?
