I have numerous Neurofibroma Tumors in my body > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurofibroma and I continue to get more of them as I get older. This was never a problem until I turned 23. The tumors are a result of a genetic disease I have called Neurofibromatosis.
I have read lots about raw foods shrinking tumors, but I am unsure of what effect that has on neurofibroma tumors since they form along nerves. I have been on a high-raw diet for over a year now (completely meat free aside from fish about once every two months).
Does anybody have any idea of what foods I can include in my diet that could possibly begin to shrink these tumors? It seems since going raw the largest one I have has shrunk a bit, but none of the smaller ones have. I have also developed new ones since being raw. I was hoping it would be the end of them.
Anyway, if anybody has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Just as an FYI my diet consists of a daily smoothie, usually mixed berries, greens and hemp seed protein, lunch will be a large salad, snack on fruit throughout the day, occasionally nuts. Dinner is cooked vegetarian. Sometimes dinner will also be raw. My intake of highly processed foods is minimal. Cheese is about the only animal product I still consume regularly and when I have it at home it's usually raw cheese.
I haven't heardof that specifically but Matt Monarch talked about msm getting rid of some tumors in one of his videos. Have you taken any herbs for it? Also ALA- alpha lipoic acid is great overall- it helps cure nerve damage etc. It would be worth a try...
What is "msm". H haven't taken any herbs specifically for it. I take some for inflamation and occasionally take oregano oil, but that is about it. I think anything for nerve health MIGHT potential help sense these tumors grow on the nerves.
I've read brazil nuts can eliminate tumors. You only need to eat a few a day so you can add them to whatever nut cheese or pate you are making. Also chamomile has been used to shrink them. Burdock root or seed can be used- I've had it in kraut before or you can juice it. Wheatgrass has the capability to repair dna. I have seen studies on it.
I haven't read anything specific on msm but it can help any tissue heal in the body. Dha and lecithin can help neurons regenerate. There are so many things you can try. Just go with what feels right. =)
My Neurologist is an idiot when it comes to diet. I asked him about what role foods could play in healing tumors and he looked at me like I was crazy. It's sad that there isn't much research done for my condition. It's just so hard to believe they can't find a cure for something like this, it seems like it would be so simple.
I tried spirulina briefly a while back, but stopped taking it because it was expensive. I am consider taking it again.
Your tumors didn't form because you were deficient in a particular nutrient or food. The body creates tumors to protect itself against poisons (carcinogen) that are in the body. These poisons are often part of the the diet, but they can also come into the body via the environment, or they can also be created internally in the body based on emotional and metal state.
In terms of diet, removing all animal products will help, and removing foods that are not whole foods will also help. As for your cooked foods, its best if everything is cooked at steaming temperatures or lower.
But if you want your tumors to go away, you might consider doing a supervised water fast. There are water fasting centers in the tropics, like Robert Sniadach's Vida Clara in Belize, or True North in California.
It is providing the conditions for health, ie lots of rest and sleep, exercise, fresh air, clean water, sunshine, a non toxic household environment, and a clean hygienic diet that will give you enduring health.
If you did have an emotional thing happen to you around that time the flower essence agrimony would be good to take. Pumpkin seed milk can help heal- because it is high in zinc. And sprouted adzuki beans can heal adenals.. not as hard to find as ou'dd think. They're dry and you sprout them yourself in 2 days.
Noting big an emotional happened around that time but I had a number of new tumors show up this past year too and there was an emotional break up a year ago.
I do take Pumpkin seed oil now and then, is that just as good.
Thanks for all the replies thus far. I will process and continue my research to see what I might can do. "Research" has shown there is nothing that can be done to shrink the tumors or suppress them since they grow along the nerves, but I really think that a "cure" just hasn't been discovered yet.
What the ginger? The ginger is mine unfortunately -_- But I have a tendency to try to get rid of it, and since I absolutely will not touch synthetic hair dyes, I'm stuck with doing it myself with plant dyes - Which is reaaally hard. I usually end ...
For those of you who do not know, if you get a headset ( 20 bucks at store) for your laptop you can talk to anyone online for free anywhere in the world, if they have laptop and headset too.
You download SKYPE or GOOGLE TALK.
People can call you...
I think the color suits you, it looks right. Sometimes when people color their hair it's obvious that it's a dye job and it just looks off. Yours doesn't look off at all. Anyway, it's a lot better than my hair! ;)

Okay, mishap was a bit generous. I decided to dye it, so I bought some indigo (plant dye) and started sectioning off the front bits of my head and putting the dye in, and then as I tried to get further back and farther down, I ran out. So now the ...

Nah, I had a mishap with some indigo I bought to dye my hair darker. It's washing out though, no biggie. Probably why I shouldn't mess around with hair dye, no matter how natural it is.
