I've been eating A LOT of fruit lately, sometimes that's all I eat in a day. I used to drink a lot of milk and have never had a cavity or any tooth problems, but my teeth aren't looking too strong the last few days! They even hurt a little bit today when I drank some peppermint tea. Has anyone had a similar experience after going raw? Can someone tell me some good dental health foods? I really don't wanna go back to drinking milk because I actually don't like the taste anymore after going raw. Thanks in advance!

i would pay strong attention to your inner guidance now. All the things you were doing were clearly working why can you not combine them back in. Moderation in all things. This all or nothing raw does not serve everything. Best of both worlds for me
Also green smoothies are powerful for teeth.
only you know what is best
for me when my body craves something healthy that is known to
support teeth I have some of it.
your body is sending messages listen

I know it isn't the same but I had really bad toothache (and holes - needed a filling).
My friend gave me a bottle of tooth soap and I used it, within two days my toothache was gone so I didn't bother going back to my detist until my check up a few months later.
He was like "This is weird, where are the holes ?".
I told him about my new routine and he dismissed it as stupid to stop using fluroide and glycerin based paste - but he couldn't explain why my teeth are healthier.
Maybe it could help with the transparency issue too ?
Oooo and to second Rawfreedom about the greens - when you stop using glycerin based toothpaste your teeth can absorb the minerals from food and re-enamalise themself.
The thing I don't get about people recommending raw leafy greens is that they usually contain oxalic acid which binds to minerals, wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Though I dont know the exact quantaties and effects.
Its like people recommend seeds(grains, cacao, etc.) for minerals but people have experienced mineral stripping from these!
I never eat raw spinach because my teeth feel really coaty and squeeky if that makes sense, and I'm sure that the high levels of oxalic acid play a part.
I do however juice it and have no problems.
I dont know but my teeth felt the same way just a few weeks ago, after eating a lot of raw spinach. I don't juice. I have considered it but its not making sense to me.
I'm not a dentist but I highly recommend 1. brushing your teeth twice a day 2. flossing your teeth before you go to bed specifically after you brush your teeth 3. consume green leafy vegetables every day! make green smoothies eat celery and clean your teeth. The raw foods keep teeth and jaws strong but sometimes foods get stuck in between teeth and rot so the bacteria will live off the sugar and then you get bleeding gums. You will remineralize your teeth when you consume leafy greens and possibly kiwi since I found out that kiiwi contains chloryphyl chloryphyl. High mineral foods will do wonders for your teeth.
This is why I sell RAW STAR Glass Drinking Straws! It keeps sugar from getting to your teeth when doing smoothies, fruit smoothies, drinks! And they are eco reusable. And I always recommended low fruit raw foods, I told people keep the Dates low but no one listened they are like OH it is natural sugar, etc. etc. but yeah SUPER HIGH NATURAL SUGAR that sticks in between your teeth and makes them ROT! One RAW Food author owns a date farm so naturally all her raw recipes contains tons of dates in them all! She doesn't care...I do! Also yes Stevia is the best no cavities and whitens teeth. Always brush and floss often! That helps. Keep sugar and fruits low Gabriel Cousens MD talks about this a lot in Conscious Eating which I recommend to people...again just because it is raw organic doesn't mean it is automatically good for you in fact it can be very very bad if you don't do the research or read books! I did and incorporated it naturally into all my recipes in all my books and DVDs are all low sugar!
i used to when i had cable tv. i loved watching cooking shows with vegetarian food. jamie oliver is great! it actually gives me really good ideas for raw food dishes and i learn alot about combining flavours. once i saw this stuffed tomato and stu...
I think its more like religious (spiritual) people are inclined towards healthy eating (raw foodism/veganism) insomuch as they recognize the value of life (which is worth living)...
and the desire to enhance the quality of that life...

Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
