Give it to me Raw

Hi Guys, is it just me, or does other people have a goal thing happening at the beginning of the year, and then have a look at it, at the end of the year to see how it all went???

My 10 Goals for this year are:

1) Practice yoga 5 times a week...

2) Gain 6 kilos of healthy weight (I know what you are thinking)...

3) Meditate 2 hours a day, 1 hour in the morning, and 1 hour in the evening...

4) Study 4 of my university papers, 1 virtual community psychology, 2 virtual color psychology, 3 child psychology and mind and matter philosophy...

5) Keep a better communication with my family... a hard one, I live in Japan, and my family lives in New zealand... especially with my mum... if you know what I mean:-)

6) Try to be good at the doing the above actions...

7) Keep a better social networking with my friends who live in the UK...

8) Attend another 10 day vipassana meditation this March...

9) Attend Emma's Devotional seminars this April...

10) Have some time to myself...

So, here they are, what are yours???

I have to say that they are all hard... I be lucky to do 6 of them:-)

How about you guys???

Haha, I have two.

Travel around the USA doing my tantra and bodywork.

My personal goal is to consciously merge with the Divine, as often as I can remember to.

I think that's quite enough!

What type of body work???

Wow, "consciously merge with the Divine", thats like 10 goals by itself:-) hehehehe

Haha Tantric bodywork, or sensual/erotic bodywork.

I figured merging with the divine would take care of almost everything else for me, so I did that instead.

I like your goals man. Meditating for an hour at a time though, that's tough. For me anyway. You mean staying in state without breaking it for an hour? I can see coming out and letting your mind wander a bit.

And no I don't think most people look back at their progress halfway through the year. Unfortunately, I think most people make resolutions out of ritual, and they're usually carried over from previous years.

Hmm...so my goals? You got me thinking. Well I'm already on top of one of them. Healing my body of colitis and Crohn's. I'm eating only bananas and for the first time in 12 years, I can feel my body healing. I could weep I'm so happy and grateful.

I've also got (I hate to admit this), a lot of "housecleaning" to do in my personal life, but as far as my "raw" motivations...

1) okay cure colitis and Crohn's...mentioned that

2) fully transition to a raw diet, possibly as a fruitarian

3) sculpt my body to where it used to be...no...better than it used to be

4) follow in the footsteps of others on this site and on youtube by creating videos that track my progress, because I really, really want to inspire and encourage others the same way I've been inspired.

Okay, it's a short list. BUT I MAKE UP FOR IT ALWAYS TYPING A LOT. lol. Anyway, I'm a newbie, so I'm sure this'll require 100% of my mind and body. Good thing too, cuz that's how much I've already allocated for it.

Good luck with those goals plans. Add me and feel free to bounce things off me for mental support and I'll do the same with you:)

Hi Crabby,

yes meditating for an hour at a time, of course the goal is to use the technique, and when you are using the vipassana technique an hour flys by... each the bell rings, I always say: "is that time already???"

Yes, I also agree with you, about the "...resolutions out of ritual..." but there is nothing wrong with redoing what you set out to do in the past???

I know what you mean about the house cleaning, you know, I really like your humour:-) I hope that we can catch up one day soon...

Much love and light... Buddy:-)

A fun, laid back, creative job where I don't have to deal with people all day.
I'd like a nice apartment in a quiet green part of town.
A sphynx cat!
My novel is an adventure set in my home town during WII.

Wish me luck!

All almonds sold in California are treated with a gaz or a chemical, in both cases the almond does not sprout, it is hence dead.

Amen, Loren. So do you feel the same way about blending then? The whole fiber is still there with blending so not improving on nature as much as sort of 'pre-chewing', if you will
