Do you take MSM?

Have you seen any physical changes produced by MSM?

It sounds like a great, useful supplement. I read the below article and am deciding if I should add it to my lifestyle.

they don't work very well Pink, I was on them for three months, didn't do anything - but the powder did ;) - & I have read the same from many others on skin forums. did you try them with juice? i hold my nose and chug :p

I started adding some camu camu powder to the water. It helps to mask the flavor. I also have used the juice of a lemon. Green juice doesn't mask it. And, I have been avoiding orange juice....somewhere I read it wasn't good for arthritis. Other places I read that it doesn't affect it.
I am taking the MSM for arthritis and I had a meniscus tear in one knee last year that I thought would heal and it hasn't.
I still have to chug it. I'd like to up the dosage that I take but I'm not sure anything weaker than whiskey can mask that flavor *haha*

maybe you could try putting in small amounts in each juice or glass of water you drink a day rather than all in one go?

I'm currently taking 1 tablespoon which is equivalent to 12grams. I'm thinking that maybe I will just take another tablespoon in the evening when I up the dose. Maybe add some honey to it like Jeff suggested.

Orange juice can increase yeast production- I think that's why. If someone has an underlying candida problem it could increase that. (the pain associated with autoimmune diseases)

Pinkster, some peopers drink qt water, lemon, with MSM, now I do that, first thing am, just about.

I'm also taking it at night, as Wolfie recommend (2X/day).

MSM is the bomb! I've never taken a supplement before that gave me such obvious results....but I agree with Baby, the capsules didn't do nothing for me either before, I reckon I just didn't swallow enough of them. Now I started doing large doses of the powder and it's improving my skin so much and flexibility, like my yoga practice is really benefiting from this.

Just thinking of the nasty taste makes me shiver, uh...I take it like this, I have one glass with a bit of fresh OJ and water in which I dissolve about one large table spoon in, not much just enough to dissolve the stuff and I have another large glass of OJ next to it. So I down the mixture then chase it with the juice. That way I can do it.

What brand do you use, and what dosage?

Right now I'm taking MSM from a company called Raw Gaia based in the UK. It sais pure distilled flakes derived from Canadian pine trees.

I can't tell you exact measurements but it's about four heaped table spoons a day. I want to increase it to six soon for a few weeks and then go back to a maintenance dose of about two. That's the plan :)

Thanks, Mica. I noticed a lot of people on here find a big difference between powdered and capsule form. I have taken powdered and now take caps; I am considering going back to powder when I finish this bottle. I want to find a good brand in the U.S. (I don't know how much brand matters with this product though.)

I remembered I took some pictures from last week. We used bees wax candles, like anthony was saying, white/ off white. No filter. We used a biodegradable paper plate, to cover the head. Alot of wax comes out!
