Woah Erin, talk about a flashback! I'm pretty sure that was the first raw packaged treat I ever had, almost 4 years ago... I remember like it was yesterday!

Just finished eating some figs that I dipped in raw honey, so let's go with that.

For me it's: Caceo nibs with gogi berries, frozen banans, gala apples with raw almond butter, celery with raw almond butter. I also like to eat real watermelon (with seeds, not those dreadful seedless hybrids).

Peas with a little vinegar/olive oil dressing, turmeric and sea salt.

I like to eat sun-dried tomatoes straight.

It really helps when I'm craving something salty and savory. One or two of them and I'm set.

Mostly I like cucumbers and celery but if I was going to make someone else a snack it would be chocolate pudding with avocado and cacao with a little agave!

Wow, I love a lot of what's been mentioned already -- esp. the Gopal's power wraps & the medjool dates. Dehydrated sweet potato chips are pretty awesome, though, and definitely should be on this list!

Also blending dates with sesame, almond, cashew, or hazelnut and making a caramel and dipping apple slices in in it! Everyone loves that!!

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.

things that have actually worked for me: Valerian root for tea - very calming... Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
