Message to All

If you post a discussion or a blog post, why can you require your "approval" of comments? Isn't that somewhat strange? Are we not at this forum to discuss things and why can one's opinion be screened? Completely fucking retarded, that is my opinion of that.

I wasted 20 minutes of my life this morning writing a comment for a blog post to find it needed to be approved by the blog poster, which of course it wasn't.

This site, I'm sad to say, gets worse with time. I spend less and less time here and it is definately not me that is the reason...

Peace to you all, and anyone who requires blog posts to be "approved" or goes in and edits comments and what not, I wish you all the best and I hope you get the help you need.

Permalink Reply by s on April 23, 2009 at 6:49pm: I feel you on the site. It's kind of getting annoying and hard to navigate. I don't care if people block my comments, though; the person to whom it was intended got to read it, and it's their loss if they decided not to share that with the world.
I think people are posting discussions as blogs because blogs are now at the top. Why is this? I miss the old layout.
Or maybe I'm just afraid of change.

I made my page private because there are certain people on here that I just don't care to be on my page. I have pictures of my family up and like to feel like I can talk freely with people on there. Maybe it is silly, but some recent ongoings made me feel protective over my daughter's pictures and my personal info. I approve most people to be my friends anyways unless I see that they are not kind to others on here. I let anyone comment on my blogs and discussions though.

I still appreciate the site, though. It makes up for my lack of like-minded friends in reality at this moment in life. I am thankful for all the friends I have on here, and if people don't want to approve my comments, then they are probably not they type of person I come on here for anyways.; ▶ Reply to This

I guess the creators wanted to put individual stories center stage instead of arguments or whatever but I think it just brings more noses into the personal business.

your point is so dead on..I mean why do people care if 'others' see what they wrote..unless they are trying to make the poster feel bad or something? like really. especially in blog zone..its about SUPPORT not about being right..of course..I don't know which post it was..I mean the Mary Jane ones were clearly 'discussions' so I don't know if that was the one in question. in which case..its a drag to be censored; ▶ Reply to This

Next time if somethiing is really important to you you could start your own topic on it. What was it you wanted to say? Maybe you could post it here?

I've walked away from some bitter comments from folks & untangled myself from other convos that were going nowhere because the person I was interacting with wasn't actually reading what I wrote.. they were guessing at what they think I mean. But I must admit.. my comments haven't been approved/disapproved.

Let's hope that's a runtime error & your well thought comment gets accepted lovingly.. as it was intended.; ▶ Reply to This

I was just blown away to read "it must be approved" b/c this site instantly turned into Myspace mindless idiocracy to me. I will never spend my time to post in a blog that can be censored. There should absolutely be a big red blinking thing on the top of this type of blog post. I understand completely that some people on here stalk and terrorize others, probably the same guys who censor blogs... but if you are being stalked by someone, shut down the post or report it. Most people who publicly go crazy here go away quickly as the good ones swarm them out usually. I call people out when they mess with the best and they stop, we can self regulate here, as long as the speech is free. I will never again waste my time climbing into some fear filled insecure little mans web of deceit also known as a censored blog post. This makes this site overall very much less appealing to me and the blog section is completely tainted and not something I can look at anymore. The purity is gone, organic label on chemical food. If you are scared of what someone might say to you or think about what you say, don't say it.

I'm not going to call out the individual, its not my style, and it wasn't some great thing I wrote, as always I just write, I was just blown away finding that my internet place of sharing like-minded enlightenment has been hijacked by the other side.; ▶ Reply to This
