I have noticed this among my meetups and recently have seen the same situation abroad. Many meetup groups have anywhere from 100-1000 members, yet most of the meetups have only about a dozen attendees. Please understand that it is a tremendous undertaking to organize and promote raw food meetups. I would like to help solve this situation by letting everyone know that we need to do our parts to help the organizers asa much as possible by following the guidelines of the meetup events and most importantly offering to friends, family and associates to bring them to a raw food event so that they can understand what the raw food movement is about, meet new people and discover new recipe ideas. Each and every one of us needs to take responsibility to spread the word of health diet and lifestyle that is encompassed in regularly attending local meetups. This will help to promote the raw food movement worldwide, increase the number of attendees, and ease the workload on the organizers.
Go to meetup.com, enter the key words "raw food" and your zip code, browse the nearby meetup groups, if any, become a member, and attend. Just follow this link, enter country and zipcode and start to browse. http://rawfood.meetup.com/ When traveling, meetup is a good way to connect with people abroad. I am visiting San Francisco the 25th and 26th of August and have found someone to show me the raw food hot spots around the city and a "Juicing and Smoothie" event. I RSVPed for the event and have seen that others have too. Thank you very much.
Yes the next time I go to a raw potluck meetup I will most definitely bring my non-raw sister in law or non-raw long time friend to show them what it's all about! Also others I know who are semi interested in raw food, I'll remember to encourage them all more. Thanks for the reminder Kiani!
It might even be fun for rawies to have to invite these friends and family members around to help out and see how you make your dishes.
Spread the word indeed. :)

LOVE IT, Greengoddess! You tell those demons! I am actually enjoying getting to know them. They are not that bad if you just give em' a little attention and acknowledgment. They seem to be getting ready to leave.....at ANY moment now. I am startin...
I'm new to this lifestyle, and I'm enjoying the benefits of it thus far, both mental and physical...the spiritual will follow i'm sure. Anyway, I've been in a relationship for 4 years now and now that i'm ready for a massive change for the positiv...

eating fruit (or anything else) would not allow the body to go into the fasting state
Yeah, cuz Bear ain't worried about trying to survive. He's surrounded by a full film crew and sleeps at the Ramada or the Hilton at night. It's easy to make jokes when you're not worried about dying.
Not saying his show ain't entertaining, but do...
I love it cause it is an intense workout over a short period of time. My son had a "jump rope for heart" week at school that got me into it. It uses different muscles than running and also improves coordination a lot, and I was surprised how well ...
Survivorman is crazier, did you see that episode in the desert when he started talking to birds? But I still like Grylls better overall. I feel like there is more of a point in watching the show, you feel like you're learning something, lots of tr...
