is it ok to add meat to a smoothie? i only need a small amount per day for building. i realised i was having too many cleansing foods and not enough building ones!
thanks rawzi i will try a meat smoothie maybe with seeds for fat, as raw cream or butter is hard to come by here. the meat fibres sound interesting! brains, wow...! i think smoothies are going to be the way to do it. i'll get over being spacy, tired and unmotivated!
What about an organic protein powder, such as hemp, or pea protein isolate? Does this count as raw? It's great to mix into almost anything and you get that instant hit with a small amount, without having to fill up on lots of other things. There are also lots of raw live protein bars around; at a price - but worth it. You can chop them into bite size pieces and take them on the run.
Eeeew. Isn't jerky like the strips of meat you can get for your dog? Why would anyone want to eat that? I must add I am a mostly vegan eater, I like egg whites a couple of times a week and the odd piece of fish. I don't have anything against meat eaters as such, if it is organically farmed etc. Mostly meat and dairy just don't sit well in my body. I have the same issue with spirulina, it is really very rich. I used to have vital greens as well but react to the barley grass! Drama! I guess it's good to cycle with things, like if you maintain something 2 or 3 times a week this should be sufficient. You needn't feel like you have to have it every day. Nuts are also rich and I struggle with them. I like to just eat and go about my day, not be really aware of what I have eaten so I can't concentrate. Protein powders are good for this. Instant burst of energy without the fussing around if you are short on time. Of course, ideally one prepares in advance. Everyone is different. Personally I would not eat raw meat. :/ If it works for you, do it - just do it organically and don't worry about it - the worry will make it disagree with you more than anything! :)
thanks, i've tried protein powders before, soy (definitely bad), hemp (indigestible) and pea (not raw).
so unfortunately i haven't had much success. maybe because i'm type O, or from an omni heritage...?
Interesting. I am O. I love cruciferous vegetables, and I always feel an upset tummy afterwards. Also suffer from bouts of Raynauds if I get cold. But I have noticed a marked improvement in this since I quit dairy food.
I'm on a computer in the library right now (as I was on Thursday), so any posts may be a little short. I was a little stressed by the reapplication information about the CAB because I had the same issues with finding paid work to fit around it bef...
Thanks for checking this out Vamp. It is truly amazing if you can be open minded enough to watch the video. People act like we haven't invented space travel. If you can accept that- then how hard would it be to accept jumping onto a planet that is...
starting to plan for this now ! right in the midlle of holidays !
i'm thinking about doing a week, but may extend with blended foods depending on how much detox I experience. Can't get the 'flu' just yet.
thanks....so grateful & dave is the best !...
Hi El-bo,
You're absolutely right; sodium is not the problem, but sodium chloride, and inorganic mineral salt which always causes water retention and raises blood pressure. We don't need any of that.
Adrenal fatigue is indicative of overall exhaustion. When the body is already is exhausted and has no real energy left, it calls on the adrenal gland to produce adrenaline. The body doesn't have much of a choice because as we continue to force it ...
if sodium is consumed from natural sources then the body will be able to deal with it naturally...it won't be stored like toxins etc
water retention is the bodies way of diluting toxic matter....it will do this with salt (table. himalayan, sea, m...
