Give it to me Raw

First, I want to say why I've included some raw animal products in my diet. For one thing, I feel ethically better supporting local holistic-minded farmers in Oregon than dubious corporate tropical fruit farmers.

Since I've included RAF in my diet, my teeth aren't aching anymore!

My concentration is better. My job at an old folk's home is physically grueling. My energy is much more sustained. I've got a surplus of energy left over to even help my poor exhausted co-workers. And I'm so cheerful, the old people love me!

This is a successful experiment! I'm sick of green smoothies. Can't explain why.

Anyway, kefiring is expensive! Worth it obviously. Anyone else doing something similar and have any feedback?

And what are more websites I can go to to talk about stuff like this? Someone who was banned from this website not so long ago (who could that be?) was telling people to suck chicken's butt's for the eggs, or some comment along that line. I was disappointed the moderators allowed that sort of thing. So, I'm excited to find something that's working for me better than the irritability I was experiencing on high raw.

Hey! I have one cup of kefir fermenting on my counter right now. I just had to see what all the noise was about. Honestly, after not really being attracted by milk in the first place, I don't know if this will work out for me. But I still wanted to try. I got a 1 liter bottle of raw cows milk and want to use it up 1 cup per day.

High fruit, I meant. My brain organ doesn't like all of the fruit sugar.

Let me know how your kefir turns out. I digest goat's milk considerably better than cow myself.

Raw dairy is so calming. I sleep so well and feel more patient when I have it. I was making raw kefir daily in the spring, but now that it is summer I am back on almost all fruit and feel fine.

Just listening to my body. It started to make me feel nauseous about a week ago, so I stopped eating it. Fruit and greens made me feel nauseous prior, and I was having skin and concentration problems. Now my skin is beautiful and I crave fruit again.

I have never been a big green smoothie fan although I do enjoy them occasionally with mild greens like baby spinach.

Where are you getting your milk? Have you found a local farm?

That's great, Lemoned, that you know what works for you. You probably already heard that Gandhi almost died as a vegan, and on the advice of his doctor drank goat's milk back to health. Whatever works, right?

I have heard a lot of things about it too, and have been adding it (as yogurt and keifer) to my diet as well.

High fruit, low animal protein was very hard on my body.

Oh personally, I'm doing it out of curiosity. I've been doing quite well with my current diet, been vegan since 14 years. I did go through something which I think was B12 deficiency but a good supplement helped. My opinion is that I'd rather supplement than eat too many animal products (and I will not go near meant or fish for sure) but the raw milk they have there, I looked up the farm and decided it's within my boundaries.
Wish I had easier access to goat milk though.

I can understand that you'd rather supplement than eat animal products. I have a lot of vegan animal rights friends--we respect each others' ways. Not a big deal.

I've been having goat's kefir lately.. store bought, but organic and absolutely humane... and I love it! i don't see the harm in it. People have been eating animal products for centuries. They helped us evolve.

Agreed. Goat milk (not kefir though, which is even better) became famous after it saved Gandhi's life.
