Doesn't a high WBC mean your body is fighting something off? So what would happen if there was nothing to fight off? I was told mine was low my last check-up, about 5 years ago. Really, really low. So I came back for a follow-up test, same result. I kinda think if it was a problem something would have happened by now. If I catch a cold from someone it only lasts a day or so. I think the problem is with the doctors, not us.

Well, I HAVE heard of some raw food folks even getting falsely diagnosed with things like HIV or cancers due to low white cells. The reasons being may indeed be in part because of the standard raw dogma that without the cooked foods (which are treated as disease) that smaller quantities of white blood cells exists in the blood. But many people have so many issues going on internally which are multi-factors/contributers to poor health and are not properly adressing those issues or building blood/tissue or even detoxing matter properly.

However, especially if you are experiencing symptoms, I would be especially wary of using these theories as a crutch to just plow ahead with whatever you are doing to spite Dr. Ribeye. No one here can properly diagnose you, but it may serve you do be more open about your dietary choices..especially at your age. even if they cross the border of what people want to claim is bad/good/necessary/harmful

just my opinion. the likelihood is you are just fine without the -cooked- meat/beans he suggests.

wbc s a re to do with immunity so greens will help your immunity.....and make them smoohties..and if you add things like wild blue green algae this will help too (:
Any white refined sugar reduces your wbc count up to 60% for up to 4 hours!

Hi! I NEED TO SPEAK WITH YOU ASAP! I've been 100% raw since November. I''m running a marathon in April so I went and got my yearly exam in January. My WBC count is extremly. After 3 more CBC test they've made me an appointment with an Oncologist for next Wed. I haven't found anything on the internet to link this with raw food until I came across this discussion from Feb. Please respond back as soon as you can as maybe our situation is very similar. Thanks in advance.....Denise
