Hey all, trying to get this video to go viral and out to as many people as possible. It's a seven minute short film that I feel has a lot to say about society and the world we live in, and my plans are to make more films like this that touch on war, love, peace, government corruption, etc.... Would love feedback on the film... The link is below.
dtg, elaborate more please. Anyone can make that statement. Write me a detailed response as to why you don't think it "said much". Give me specific points.
Hi Scott. I think this is excellent. I tried to watch it bout 4 times and it cut off- so maybe people didn't see the whole thing.
I really liked the austere and monochromatic background. The music and scene cuts were great. The only thing that may improve it would be a little more emotion at the beginning. It's like it is all at the end. A little more happiness in the beginning would draw the observer in emotionally. But like I said it may not be what you want at all- you may want the audience to remain detatched until the end.
The other thing is the woman is kind of 2 dimensional. If she were more real you would care that she dies- but it was a little hard to care because I didn't feel like I knew her. Other than coffee- what was she like? Did she like music, or art, or athletics? etc.
The actor has a great voice and is very believable for the most part but at the end it is a little much. I am not sure too much acting?? But maybe just a sillhouette of him hunched over in despair instead of the full on face shot where you can see every grimace..
I liked the vietnam part but I felt like it needed another scene to tie it in- I liked the part about him praying and not sleeping- great details.
I think the end time is a really important topic to cover. I have had dreams about that and war- and atomic bombs etc. What I see is in depth agony, blood, suffering, etc.. It was like your movie is a little clean- but it is hard to do a lot of fake blood and be able to pull it off.
I think that is the problem with conveying environmental and world devastation - the average American is kept from seeing what is really happening. I also think the average person would be more emotional seeing an animal dying than a person- we are just so callous these days..
Keep them coming. We need someone like you putting this out there. =)
The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.

Valerian root for tea - very calming...
Lemon juice, sliced lemon peel, lemon grass or lemon verbina, raw honey, star anise (optional), maybe some ginger, hot water (let it all infuse together for a while) ...
