looking to travel for rawer,greener pastures
Hi all:) Have decided to take the big step and move away from scotland to seek more like minded people and an enviroment that suits my new lifestyle. Since being raw my physical and mental stimulation has exploded, i can know longer satisfy myself in scotland and am looking for a place where i can explore myself and other threw yoga, raw, mediatation, chi kung etc.. I am looking for a place with a sunny,warm climate, a place that has lots of physical outdoor activities,a place where people are open minded and want to experience life to the max. Does a place exist?

lol. I dunno, I'm from Australia, but my ancestors were from Ayrshire.

Hi Dave, there must be all those spiritual based activities in Edinburgh? I can understand the climate desires but raw folk in Scotland are definately growing.

Yeah, Scotland needs you! But, be where you heart leads you. It's so easy to crave warmer climate when the cold weather kicks in here. Have you tried infra-red saunas, it's a little bit of sunshine when the weather is dreary.

Encinitas California is the spiritual capitol of Southern California (and you know that's a pretty spiritual place). We have more yoga studios than churches (I think). We have magnificent fresh fruit and vegetables year 'round and plenty of places to find them. The best health food stores - Jimbos Henry''s and soon Whole Foods. You can be at the beach all year and most of the time you'll be wearing no more than shorts tshirt and flip flops. In addition, the place is not nowheresville. You can get to San Diego in 1/2 an hour, LA in 2 hours and fly to San Francisco in 1 hour. I highly recommend your looking into this paradise. We have 2 raw food restaurants in the area, live food pot lucks at a fig orchard in nearby Vista, close to the home offices of Sunfoods owned by David Wolfe. Check out Encinitas as you search for your new home. And Kudos to you for going raw in Scotland - it must have been a challenge.

I wish I'd connected with anyone when I was in Encinitas... I didn't see this... I was visiting with my partners family and not really in my element. I did like climbing through the hills though, it was cold when I was there... I visited Jimbo's and Henry's... I just found the vibrational energy of the people there overwhelming yet distant... it would have been nice to connect more to the community as you're describing it.
