I still have trouble knowing a lot of the theories are true that are so prevalent in the raw food world. Like when a person detoxes that parasites and metals come to the surface of their skin or are expelled from their body in other ways. I was just reading some great stuff on the internet about this but wish I could really know what was happening and have some kind of evidence.
I was curious if chlorella did the same thing as seaweed in chelating metals from the body. What I read confirmed this but it also said then you are more suseptible to fungal infections and candida because the mercury can keep these things at bay. I have 3 mercury fillings and have been ingesting a lot of cilantro for the past couple of years. It bothered me to think that what I was eating may have been pulling mercury out of my teeth and causing me to ingest more than I would have been from regular food.
But I am going to have them taken out in 2 weeks. I am going to make sure and take chlorella, cilantro, and or seaweed everyday after that to absorb\chelate what may get into my system. But it looks like there may be other things like candida to worry about as well. I am going to do my best to discourage candida as well for several weeks following the procedure.
If you have any good sources on this I'd love to see them. Other than Hippocrates in Fla I haven't heard of anyone who has done extensive tests on themself to see what is happening or Doctors who have offerred testing that could show what is really going on with someone. I think this would be good to know of if there really are a lot of people doing this sort of thing out there. Like looking at the skin microscopically to see if there are parasite eggs coming out or what..
