Give it to me Raw

girls, and guys...why is it that some of us as women, seem more biologically 'designed' to bare children than others?
why is it that some women are more driven to be a mother and that is almost their sole purpose in life, and then some women arent fussed nor drawn to wanting to bare children from their own bodies.
Sometimes do i think,am i lacking because i havent had a child, and yet i dont have a desire to have a child from my own body.I have no guilt about this, should i,i dont know?

i know we are all different, and my babies have four legs fur and a tail, and im really happy with this.

I miscarried a child the beginning of 2007.

your thoughts, view etc i would like to hear them please

big love xx

haha i really like to see lean labs! i think most people are used to seeing fat labs since sadly there's alot around. people were surprised how lean my Labrador was too though he wasn't on raw food.

its funny because and sad but i read that they actually tend to be so fat because they just appeal to people so much and strangers will feed them. we have a lab next door that comes round all the time i think he's got the whole neighbourhood feeding him.

oh and i really think the relationship you have with your dogs is great and is just as irreplaceable as having children too i forgot to say before. i am just thinking about ned now and how much i miss him. kind of like a sibling. it just really brings so much joy when i see your lovely photos and to hear how much you love them and look after them :)

thank you Travis...yes they bring lots of joy this is for sure..no stranger going to feed my babies...there are two labs that live around the corner that are so overweight they cant jump up and down,(you know when they get excited...)?and it makes me feel so sad...

sending loving thoughts of Ned too...hugs x

I don't have a lab. But my dog is the leanest out of his litter. He's about 150ish now. when I brought him back to Vermont for the 4th of July. The breeder laughed at him & said why is he so small That's the smallest mastiff she ever saw. His other brothers are 170-200. The biggest one of the same litter is already 220.

sorry that you miscarried <3
I like Cameron Diaz - she's so fresh and fun, she said something like 'not all women have to be mothers - we can choose to do whatever we want, there's enough kids in the world to love already'
so yeah, i'm happy without kids, i'm still a kid myself pretty much, but there's so much more i want to do, i'd feel kids would tie me down - it's going to be wicked being an auntie, that's just perfect - kids to love and take care of but not kids that take up your life.
Not to mention i'm really into psychology, and the thought of having a kid that i'm incompatible with is just shit - my mother and i are the most incompatible types, and we just piss each other when we are just being ourselves - such tension and irritation there, i don't want it to be like that with my kid - if I ever want a kid I think I shall adopt!

No doubt a happy family life growing up leads one to want that in their own life, but I also think there is so much more--There are women who are more feminine than others and those that are more masculine types. I even have a few friends who are mostly working and their more feminine-type husbands do all the rearing. ( read "The Way of the Superior Man" David Deida)
As for me, I'm probably in the middle (large groups of women scare me, lots of women-chatter and gossip drives me nuts and i have a devil of a time getting myself to a baby shower! i'm the first one out of there!). I have 3 kids, who were nurtured hugely as little ones mostly by me. Now that they are teens the parenting is much more shared, which allows both us to work, parent, play and educate ourselves.
I'd say if you don't want them, don't have them. I'm glad i had them when i was young when I could sprint down the driveway to save junior from kareening his trike onto on-coming traffic.

joyous fig,you make me giggle, i just adore your reply thank you...ha ha im with you i would rather hang out with guys or a girl friend or two than a whole gaggle of women, cant stand gossip it irritates me,especially the gleam in the eye that gossipers get,"apparently, did you hear, did you know....."blah!
baby showers forgit it girl...im going to a kids 3 rd bday sunday and im already twitching trying to think of a way out of it,lol ;)

I agree that some women seem more biologically designed to bare children ( hence the whole 'child bearing hips' saying).
I don't have CBH, more straight up and down and until I found myself pregnant at 29, had no real desire to have kids. I wasn't career driven more, party driven. Some people believe that we are only here to procreate and thats fine cos they keep the world moving in that respect but I believe we are here simply to live and to love. We are all creative, just in different ways. I am sorry about your miscarriage, even though you felt confused about being pregnant (certainly not uncommon for most women) it is still a loss. ( I have had 4 miscarriages and have 3 sons).
I think whatever life choices we make, at different stages we will find ourselves questioning areas that seem lacking.
Without getting too personal (I haven't been around here that long lol) I don't think that I am a natural mother, I make terrible decisions sometimes and I often wonder if I am giving my boys what they need to grow into well rounded individuals, but I try and parent as consciously as possible without losing too much of my own free spirit.
RGG you should never feel guilty for living your life the way you choose. From the little time I have been on this site and allowing for the internet thing, the vibe I get from you that is. you are true to yourself and have alot of love to give. I think you are on the right path, at this present moment.

Right--it's good in smoothies too. It's a necessity when there's no fruit in there!

In water with a twist of lemon or lime, in teas, in water (with flavored stevia), and with millet or quinoa.

Hi Lizz, I haven't tried yacon; I think it's still too sweet, technically. I believe stevia is truly the only natural sweetener that is not a form of sugar. When I add vanilla flavor and a little coconut oil to the stevia, it's kind of like maple...
