Give it to me Raw

Hello. :) Question: I have a breville juicer, which I'm in love with. However, I'm having a hard time with the leafy greens like spinach, kale, etc. There doesn't seem to be much juice at all. The juicer has 5 speeds, but neither one seems to be right. Does anyone have any tips for maximizing the juice production from leafy greens? Thanks! :)

That's the kind I have(centrifugal). Always with the bad news eh? =P I should have looked into it more before I bought mine. I stumbled upon this place like a year after though. I just started growing wheat grass. I'll have try the 'wrapping around something' trick. Thanks!

Spinach is one of the BEST greenies to blend ( a la Vitamix), low acidity and not real fibrous with a great taste, especially with a bit of Banana.
As for juicing Kale, stick to stalky, cripy, Curly kale and feed it ONE STALK at a Time by hand - leafy end first to a safe distance from rotary piece.
So, you are holding the end thats nearest to the ground when growing. Then push remainder of the stalk with plunger.
I will, for example, take the blended spinach and water (high speed vitamix) and mix low speed with the juiced kale and apple and lemon and ginger etc. Just play with it, the less you make your juicer slow down in RPM's the higher yield juice on anything, that's why the slow feed, one at a time approach.

too funny - I just now tried juicing kale by stalks, and it seemed to make a difference :)
