Yes it does, but given it wasn't the topic of my post, I don't see the relevancy in posting something so obvious. Utopian by definition means an ideally perfect state; especially in its social, political and moral aspects. Of course there would be no murder, kidnapping or homeless people.

Saz, I see your point. If you want one, then so be it, but children should not get them or vaccinated, they should have rights like that

No vaccinations at all? Just curious, do you draw no connection between infant mortality, and oh, I dunno, less children walking (heh...) around with polio, and modern medicine? I agree that flu vaccines are unnecessary in most people, as the majority of flu deaths occur when people contract the flu while having underlying conditions that compromise their immune systems; but ALL vaccines? Why not just the vaccines that have not been thoroughly tested? Why not just encourage a system of responsibility and only administer vaccines in those likely to develop the illness instead of forcing them on everyone?

Hey Finn, here's some interesting articles about vaccines you may like to read:

This one in particular is interesting when debating the overall helpfulness of vaccines:

Viral infections were also much more common in the past because of poor hygiene, poor health and lack of knowledge about proper nutrition, and poor waste disposal. The "Sweating Sickness" plague alone that killed hundreds of thousands of people across medieval Europe is thought to have been caused by poor sanitary conditions - people would just dump their chamber pots out the window and into the lakes. Hygienic standards have obviously since improved, particularly over the past 100 years. The decline in viral-related sickness is not necessarily related to vaccinations at all, but improved sewer systems, better public education, encouragement to wash one's hands frequently, and a better scientific understanding of bacteria and how it spreads. Even health officials today will tell you that the best way to avoid infection is to wash your hands frequently and keep your immune system strong.

There's always room for debate around vaccines, and I think it's important to have both sides of the story.

holy mother of al smokes, I still get chills reading stuff like that SAZ. Seems that utopian world and no goverment is not on your agenda. Darn, such ideas as yours are the problem , not crime, kidnapings and freaking commercial medical records. As long as you support RFID, huston we have a problem.

ps.

thank god-dess, SAZ's idealogy is a thing of past .

My government utopia is capitalist socialism and I want to work for the CIA when I grow up.

I'm 19, I'm pretty sure my ideology is not a thing of the past, so SAZ is well safe of that :)

Considering the "no government" idea is the stance of a radical few and was at its peak two centuries ago, I think "pot kettle black."

Well in that case why not get a bracelet or something with the chip in it, instead of injecting a foreign object into the body?

And that way you can take it off if necessary.

Reply to This

But if you were kidnapped your kidnapper would just take the bracelet off, thus it wouldn't have much use as a tracking device. And used medically, it wouldn't be much different than the already-existing medic-alert bracelet.

I actually like the idea of something that makes it easy to locate missing persons and access medical files quickly, as well as identify otherwise unidentifiable murder/accident victims, but I wouldn't be comfortable with a chip being implanted in myself.

Thought this might be a Sat. Night Live fake commercial at first and i was kind of disappointed it didn't get there.
