My mother had a green thumb!, which meant that there were lots of plants and trees in our home. She turned our living room nto a forest and bought some finches and let them fly around freely. What a great fantasy to grow up in!
I personally luv! daffodilles, when I was young, we would clean our rooms and then mother put a daffodille in a small juice glass and put it on our windowsills, the perfume filled the air!

A sunflower is perfect for you Pinky. That would be my choice for a flower too. I love to grow them when I can. Look at this crazy volunteer giant that sprouted alongside the road in the rock. Somebody took pity on it and watered it.

Lots of carbon sequestered in that one. This one lives near me. I guess you can tell it's a she. It's a trip to go stand inside her - alone or with friends. I notice people get really still, calm and quiet in there. You're all invited to visit.

One was verified at 2,200 years, some may be older. They are very shallow rooted and rely on their neighbors to protect them from windfall, so eventually they fall rather than die standing up.
The oldest single individual trees are these babies, the Bristlecone Pines. One living tree was verified at 4,700 plus years. They grow very high up in the eastern California - western Nevada mountains and may stand for many centuries after dying. . Some self cloning trees like aspens and spruces are older - up to 10,000 years. Isn't that cool? A plant was living at the dawn of human civilization and is still around.
That sounds like fun.. There is a thing called double dutch where two girls hold two ropes and you have to jump them both at the same time.. maybe you could find a couple of girls to try this with you. It's pretty impressive when you see it..
