Give it to me Raw

Chionodraco Hamatus

i think i have perfect health, im still young, nothing a want to change. Do i have to eat raw foods?

Im just wondering. Everywhere i go it almost like "change your life" all the time. I love my life. Im not struggling with anything besides a stomach illness i have to live with the rest of my life. I can handle that. Sooo, i just have to be careful of what im eating, and when im eating. Thats all. I know what i can eat and i know what not to eat. It`s simple. But, when the rawlife came to me it was like: "can i be healthier? happier? better? maybe no stomach illness anymore?". New foods i have to experiment with. When i get sick, im really gettting sick. Im not scared, but just a little hm. Can i jump into it? OR, is it easier to just be on a normal "healthy" cooked diet? Do i trust these people who are telling me that "RAW IS THE WAY". hm. Yes, i get sick sometimes on raw foods. Even on processed cooked foods. everything. It`S just gaaaaaaaahhh. What to do?

Now, i want to live longer, i want the healthiest life. I know i can do that.

Someone see my problem or is it too bad english maybe? :P I just know that every japanese meal i`ve had, has always gone great. Rice etc. Gentle and kind to me. apples and grapes = devil. bananas = sometimes good, sometimes devil. cooked kale = SUPER! raw kale = SUPER DEVILISH!. bee pollen = little balls of kaos. Theese are just some of them.

I know i`ve talked about this before, and i got BIG HELP really! THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D

Still, i wonder if the raw lifestyle really is something for me?

All is full of love! Johanne <3

you don't have to eat raw foods girl. you can do whatever you want. and hopefully you'll choose that which makes you happiest!

i think what some people forget though is that eating healthier, while it most definitely helps and sometimes cures current health issues, it's also important for preventing! why wait until it's too late? figure out what works best for you and change with the tides! because, like everything else, your diet will change with time!

sometimes when things are good, we forget how bad they CAN be. i fall in to this trap often. just try your best to stay balanced...in the middle...

hope that made sense! :) <3

thank you for support! :) Yes, im just really confused about my thoughts. :s If this IS the real health source i don`t want to miss it. But i don`t want it to take time!!!! (i guess here`s my problem). And then, am i healthy?
yes, i would LOVE to stay balanced. But when my brain isn`t balanced, im not either :/

One of the biggest mistakes that we can make is to be firm in the notion that something is "the way" and to never look at other ways to improve our diets or our life.

Do what works for you. From reading the many raw food forums, it's not "the way" for many people.

It's important to remember that while we can strive to live to over 100 years in good heath, the reality is that we could be dead tomorrow or in the next hour. Do what you can to not abuse your body and live in the present moment because you can't escape what tomorrow brings.

Good luck and all the best :)

You could simply put the idea of raw food into your back pocket for now and just live without stress of making a decision to be "either - or". You could also just eat a decent proportion of raw, but not try to be all raw. Your options are many!

The most important thing is to make your own choices and be true to your goals at this time in your life. In the future, you may decide differently, but for now do what you instinctively know is best, and don't let anyone pressure you into doing what they think is best!

Be good to yourself......Breathe deeply......Love..........

Or just have a balanced healthy diet by listening to your body.
Our bodies talk to us all the time we just need to listen.
I believe there is no one diet that is perfect for everyone and that our bodies needs change over time.

I like to say "this is just a really nice place for now I will enjoy" maybe later that will change
it is all good
excellent post
thank you

Great point! The only commitment to make is: I will listen to my body. I will care for my body.

*smack myself* "Be good to your self Hanne" :) yes, i have to see the options. I just feel. Time is lacking!! :O
work, exercise, creativity, reading, friends on the phone....dinner time: "What the f*** am i going to make today?" im soo tired of limits, but i feel like im loosing my health if im not doin this and that inside the rules. The rules actually? It`s stupid, i know. I should make my own lifestyle.

*smile* there is more time than you think......make some time for yourself...make those small positive changes and don't overwhelm yourself. Do this for a year, without "shoulds" or "musts" and you'll be laughing at yourself for making such a big deal out of it. Again, be good to yourself! (it's serious advice)

thank you for understanding. It`s gas here too. I don`t remember the name of it (too complicated). It hurts so bad, sometimes i have to call an ambulance because it i can`t breath, and im passing out. For some weeks ago, i was diagnosed with swine flu. I had it in almost two weeks. It was NOTHING in front of this. God, im tired of this. Smoothies yeah, and juices is VERY good for my devil stomach. Im vegan so i don`t crave fish or any dairy/meat etc. Im just this, potato, rice and pasta girl sometimes. I`ve never tried herb tea, i`ve heard that it helps for digestion problems etc.

tnx <3

It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
