I found some Hersheys baking powdered chocolate...
this morning i didn't have raw cacao so i made a smoothie with this. typical
ice
raw local honey
water
some of this chocolate
banana
anyways, i feel pretty dang good right now. is there even a DIFFERENCE? lol!
they are probably both fermented. but my question is this.... since both products are old and powdered/processed... how much of a difference would it make to roast the chocolate beans?
i wouldn't think enzymes in the raw cacao would last after being processed and stored for long time... i suppose there are OTHER stuff in there...but i feel pretty good right now and this is roasted.
i just wonder how cheap this stuff is :) cuz heck... ;) im going to become the ghetto fake cacao raw foodist jk. i guess i'll just have to go back and forth and keep comparing between the two. there may be a difference.
the value of cocao itself is pretty debatable. For me, if I am going to eat chocolate it better just be the raw nibs processed to a pulp, anything else gives me bad cramps. But for my boyfriend it doesn't seem to matter. He is picky but I want him to eat healthier. Considering that he eats some really bad stuff, I'm not going to waste my raw cocoa on him since he's not really raw anyway and has no stomach problems. I throw some normal cocoa powder into his drinks and smoothies, though lately I confess I've been diluting that with raw carob because it's cheap here and I want to see at what % he notices.
i find if you have a disgusting backlogged digestive tract etc etc... your not even going to absorb the cacao u know? same with any "super" food or any food... the cleaner you are, the more you absorb i think personally
thanks for posting this! i have never been able to buy the raw cacao, and have been eating the 70% dark green and blacks for a while or just using cocoa powder. now i feel better about it. i just can't afford the good stuff. maybe someday.
sub-acids are my favourite - but they bastards don't leave the tops on them and i can't plant them.... i must go to a sub-acid farm and steal some!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
Yes, I believe two out of the four pineapples I've had the last several months have been alright with me, after having let them "ripen" for some days. The one that turned out the best was one I stored in a bag of ripening bananas. I did the same t...
