Give it to me Raw

I haven't been on this site for a while but I've been eating high raw since april, getting a lot more into 80/10/10 the past couple weeks and mono mealing or at least simplifying the past week or so.

Saturday I had a Crohn's attack and the CT scan showed a partial obstruction. They have been pushing me to do IV steroids (prednisone) which I have refused. Of course another team of doctors comes in every hour or two and continually tries to push it on me. They are doing antibiotics currently and talking about putting me back on entocort, another med I have taken in the past for Crohn's. They also have mentioned surgery multiple times, saying if this gets any worse they may have to do emergency surgery. I think this can be avoided.

Currently I am not eating or drinking. They have me on fluids. I would like to go home and rest and do a juice fast. I need suggestions. What main fruits/vegetables should I juice? I do not have a fancy juicer, just a $70 hamilton beach. I need to avoid surgery and medication. I need a quick way to heal this inflammation. Please, any ideas anyone??

I would say relax, get out of that poison environment which kills people, we all know as hospitals. Stick to your diet, but in all regards rething your high fruit diet. Fruits are great, don't get me wrong, but sometimes kind of taking your body to extremes while I think that your body is not still detoxed, resoulted in complete wack body reaction. I would suggest, first juices for couple of days ( if you will juice fruit than limit your water intake ), than gradually have solid meals of good veggies and greens for lunch or dinner/main meal and in the evenings good amount of easily digestible fruit, meaning more watery fruit and do not worry about some mental side effects. In about 5-7 days , do a 24 hr fast. Chose your food wisely, eat the most richests in vatimans & minerals food, of course organic. Definately you have some sort of imbalance, and that imbalance must be corrected.

Get out of that hospital, go home, detox the poisons and start your raw diet again. Many of us went that rout, our bodies reacted and went haywire. I did too, it took me 5 yrs to correct what I was missing. For my depressive, maniacal and suicidal behaviour, sprouts and home grown produce did the job. Lets not forget good amounts of fruit with it. As of today , I finnaly have tiped a scale towards more fruit in my diet, but the last time I remember I did this ( 10 yrs ago ), I lost my teeth, freaked out on all levels, somehow survived it by drinking a lot of non-city water and home grown garden which provided and still is today providing about more than 100% of nutrients.
My suggestion is, relax, no worries, continue your raw path. Eat as much as possible of good clean diet, no animals-mind you, fast on regular basis, have optimistic look upon your reality, and in about few months report back on your progress................

also, lets remember that someone or something who/that created univers and all life in it, like earth and humans ( or some animals ) for example, gave us teeth, not to look good with or to have white bleached but to use it, as chewing your food. Chew it well, to all jiucy form and you will never need any juicer again.

relaxation-meditation-or even prayers will have much greater effect on your body and mind than any diet will provide.

The Body Ecology Diet can help you. The book is easy to read and will guide you to recovering your colon health. Fruit and antibiotics should be avoided. They feed yeast and disrupt the natural colonies of bacteria and enzymes that digest your food.

Lots of probiotics, cultured raw food, non-starchy veggies, and proper food combining will help mend your colon and recolonize it healthy bacteria.

Juicing is not advised at this stage, but later.

Good luck on your journey.

Just wanted to give an update that I was released today, so far have had some juice and water which seems to be going okay but things haven't been moving through quite yet; I'm being patient. For the remainder of the evening and all of tomorrow (at least) I will be at complete rest and sleeping as much as possible. Work may need me back Friday which I'm a little reluctant to do quite yet, especially still having some discomfort when up and walking. I've been slow moving with a tightness caused by pressure in my upper abdomen (probably at the site of the obstruction) and I also have a hard tender area when pressure is applied. I'm going to focus on green juices with slippery elm, aloe, and plenty of water and rest. I would like to attempt water fasting as well but feel like I am at a point where I need the nutrition.
Thank you all for being so helpful, kind and supportive. I will continue to refer back to your suggetions as I try to heal this.

Larabars are 100% raw (well, most of them) and they're really good. Think Organic bars are raw and organic. You'll get twice the Larabar for less money, but they're both really good.

Please share your easy desserts. I've finally gone 100% raw, but I'm having a hard time staying way from candy... (I haven't caved yet) I'm looking for desserts that don't need nuts as I'd like to eat them after dinner. Thanks!

I was thinking it would be nice if everyone could share their favorite (if possible, low-glycemic) juice recipes here. I'm very excited about the 29th but I would like some more variety with my juices! Thanks to everyone out there!
