Does anyone take a green superfood powder? I ordered some Vitamineral Green and It did give me a lot of energy after putting some in my smoothie. Do you think these are safe to take and if you do take a green powder what brand do you take?
Im not sure about some of the things in these green powders because some studies say spirulina or blue green algae is good and some say they are bad etc.
I think enough people have been eating green superfood powders for long enough for it to be considered safe.... and besides... it's more safe than eating sausage links, pesticide and growth hormone ground beef and chicken.
I like Pure Synergy and Sun Is Shining powders.. haven't tried Vitamineral Green, but it's highly recommended by others.

I have been using superfood green powders since the late 1980's. I am very healthy!
If any test on blue green algae or spirulina came out negative, it is most likely the manufacturer of the product or which ocean it came from. Some companies buy their products from other manufacturers and just put their labels on them.
A good company will re-test and use the best quality. You are right by checking the companies before buying.
I use SuperFood by Dr. Schultze, Barley Max by Hallelujah Acres, and just started using Amazing Grass. I like alternating supplements.
All these products are either organically grown or wild harvested. I highly suggest using organic or wild harvested.

I use the vitamineral green too. LOVE IT! I use it in my juices. This is my routine: make juice in champion juicer...add a Tbsp of green powder & tbsp of flax oil. Stir well. repour through juicer so it emulsifies the oil & powder evenly. Enjoy! I will warn you...I found when putting it in my smoothies, no matter how thin I made the smoothie, it thickened up SUPER quick.
I like the brand, too. Their powders are all raw( as far as I know)...some other green powders are not. I'm not sure why, its just what I've been told. lol. Happy experimenting!
I usually add some green powder to smoothies. I try to rotate brands instead of sticking with only 1 exclusively. They are not a substitute for fresh greens though. My smoothies usually incorporate fresh greens and green powder.
I met the peeps over at amazing grass and wrote to them to answer some of my questions. Basically One dood partnered up with his best friends family who owns their own organic farm. He tried the green drink and he was instantly convinced this was a great product and it would be a great business to sell the powdered drinks. They stand by their product 100 percent. Even had it tested.
Amazing Grass I have been taking it for 8 months now or so It works for me. It is also grown outside instead of inside. Good to get variety of sources.
I asked if the wheat grass powder is as good as fresh powder? Because Hippocrates Institute said it was 1 percent effective.

Dear Rain,
Thanks for taking time to write to me and your question. In response to your question, I guess the first thing I would consider is why you (or anyone) consumes wheat grass. I’ve heard and read lots of testimonials from people that have used wheatgrass juice to successfully treat everything from digestive disorders to cancers. Amazing Grass whole leaf wheat grass is also very alkalizing and great for therapy, but most of our consumers take our products to get essential green vegetable nutrition that is lacking in their daily diet. Our supplement facts labels show the minimum amount of nutrition breakdown that we guarantee until the expiration date on our containers. We know from testing in house, independent labs as well as over 80 years of research and testing on whole leaf powders that when they are grown in the right climate through a cold winter and harvested just prior to jointing that their nutritional breakdown will be consistent and nutrition wise will provide much higher nutrition than tray grown wheatgrass juice grown for only 7 to 10 days.
Of course you also need to ensure proper dehydration and storing so that nutrients are preserved. We take great steps to ensure our grasses provide as much nutrition as they are capable of and I’ve attached a couple documents that may offer you additional insight. That said, I’ve seen a number of wheat grass powders on the market from China, Brazil and even the US that are not grown, harvested and stored properly and don’t have anywhere near the same nutrition that Amazing Grass has…so I would wonder what whole leaf wheat grass powder Hippocrates tested and where it was from.
There are also a couple great books that give a good review of whole leaf powders as well as tray grown juice and juice powders and differences between them. Ron Siebold wrote one called, Cereal Grass, Whats in it for you. Steve Meyerowitz also wrote one called, Wheat Grass, Natures Finest Medicine. You may be able to view or purchase them online.
If I can offer you any additional info, please let me know.
Watch all three nights online. Some great info was given, but seemed like it was all about getting people to buy more and more products. All I know is that they made a TON of money.
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
