Namaste, friends! There is a great site and scientific initiative for positive global co-creation: http://www.glcoherence.org/
Joining is a great way to add a bodhisattva compassion to your journey with fasting and feasting. I particularly recommend this to y'all because they have a "tracker"application that is an awesome way for you to monitor some subtle evolutions occurring during your journey. The Personal Tracker allows you to evaluate your internal state based on 5 Aspects of Well-Being. The 5 Aspects of Well-Being are Physical Vitality, Emotional Vitality, Social Connectedness, Spiritual Connectedness and Overall Well-Being. You can view your progress over the last 20 sessions, the last week or the last 30-day period. Check it out! Love, Light and Learning!
Thank you Sheryl for starting this thread and for getting me hooked in with all the good peeps here. I was able to accomplish the global juice feast (92 days) this past spring/summer and have been feeling for sometime that another juice extravaganza was calling my name. I went ahead and started on December 26th, so I'm on Day 4 now. My intention is to go through the end of January which will make it 40 days.
Juice feasting was a life changing experience for me on many levels. Doing it in the winter will be interesting, but I've been using ginger, cayenne and other warming spices to create heat. Since I've already done much cleansing and detoxifying, I'm modifying my fast to include some blended drinks, infusions and elixirs.....but everything will be liquid and totally raw.
Looking forward to learning and growing with you all.....thanks for having me!!
I'm so happy you decided to do it after all. I recommend drinking a cup or 2 of cleansing tea or elixir, something that will encourage bowel movements.

Hi Sheryl,
Thanks for adding this! I have been thinking of doing a juice feast but 92 days seems too long when trying to deal with working and things. But I didn't know about the 1-month feast, which sounds absolutely great to me. I'll start it and see how I go!
So if you don't have a champion or similar juicer, what do you use? I have a vitamix but don't think I could stand blending then straining through a nut mylk bag. Is a regular juicer sufficient?
Today is officially day 1 and its time to make juice!
You don't need a fancy juicer or Vitamix to do a feast. Any generic juicer will do. If you juice comes out pulpy simply strain it through a nutmilk bag or if you don't have that use an old clean t-shirt
are you ready for the Global Juice Feast starting tommorrow?? woo hoo!
I have to take my "wheels" (granny cart) out and shop tommorrow at Union Square's farmer's market. I know a few farmer's there that can give me a discount when feasting.
Also, I'm hoping to strike a deal with some coconut dealers in Chinatown. If I find anything I'll let you know! What's your e-mail? Mine is rawhappy at gmail.com We should have a juice and movie meet up with Rachel Rosie, OR a juice and shopping meet up in Chinatown or Farmer's Markets!
Today i'm going to the grand army plaza farmers market. I usually go to the union square market in the week sometimes wednesday or friday. I was working on a deal yesterday to get thai coconuts but it fell through. I might just pick up some floridian coconuts closer to my house. I have a problem with it though. I notice that the flavors aren't always consistent. I know it shouldn't matter but it does.
Full disclosure - I work as a therapist.
Yes, it helps.
But you should know that the value of it can't be described by the speed of the healing process or whether you're looking or seeming perfect. Therapy is about coming to terms and coming back...
I always used to get sick on foods from restaurants, but the same meal I prepared at home wouldn't make me sick.... restaurants tend to drown foods in butter and oils, you've probably been eating less of those since going on those diet.
Finally reconciled with my mother two years before she split the scene at the age of 95. Load off my mind.
She was tough, tough, tough, tough.
Jewish mother nagging shit, non-fucking-stop. Always fresh to her, always Hell to me.
Wow that's got to be tough. I think I would set myself on fire if I had to live with or near either one of my parents. I'm going to try to keep distance from them & keep a diary. Thank you for the support RGG
It hasn't faded any yet, but I've only heard of problems with some of the phosphorus inks and ours don't have any in. But who knows, the approved UV inks have only been out a few years and they're more expensive so not a lot of people take the opt...

In Europe, people don't have psychologists, I'm told, they have friends, get me? (I had a friend, she said talking made it worse, with her it sure did, for me anyways, was all we talked about, her issues. I just wanted to do her, had the chance to...
