Dhru,
Thanks for caring enough to make the tough calls and moreover, for continuously trying to increase the value of this community.
If it weren't for GI2MR, I would've had little incentive to stay raw for just about a year now. So just wanted to let you know that I (and I'm sure most of us) sincerely appreciate what you bring to this community.

Thanks so much for stepping in with some positive energy Dhru. Like you, I've been feeling it's not enough to remove the trolls when there is a leadership void. There are so many with boundless positive experience in our membership that can be used to shed a little light on the path. That's my definition of Guides - people who are still working on themselves; growing and changing and shining a little light on the path behind them as they go. Gurus are fixed and in the box.

Wise words :) Thank you for addressing this Dhrumil, the negativity going on previously was turning me off the site. Well done. I agree with everything you said.
Excellent point about not just removing the negative but also adding positive. Definitely applies to healing too.. and, I suspect, everything (as you point out with food, friends, community...).. and thoughts, words, behaviours... :)
Another possibility re increasing the positive aspects of the site might be to have a "best of" - just highlighting those conversations (no matter how old) that are exemplary, that are supportive, loving, informative, AND hold differing opinions. Would be a good guide for new members - might help set the tone.
I haven't noticed anybody being negative, but than again I have not had a lot of time to be as involved on here as I'd like. I think it's a great idea, and you have such creative ideas! Anything that will allow for more support and positive role models is worth a shot. I think it is far more effective to lead by example than to simply punish or ban. I've had some rather negative experiences in real life with raw foodists who, instead of leading and sharing with me when I was not in the place they were with-they simply excluded me...sometimes people who are not at your "level" have good intentions, but are just lacking in guidance. Excellent idea, and best wishes on it!
don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...
probably detox...detox is interesting and creative. thanks for the strength of putting it all out there! it takes a lot to stick with it when the body cleanses. you can do it though i can tell you know it....8^))
you need to whack it right around the top of the coconut with either a heavy handled knife or a machete..im an expert now and crack open those babies in no time....
are you having to take off the outer green shell,or just crack open the white coc...
we are hugely blessed to have Loren here i so agree...
ahh complete rest with eyes closed....sounds wonderful...just the not eating part for that long,i guess after a while you would lose your 'hunger' anyway ??
i would say give it time...if you are feeling flu like symptoms i would say you are detoxing...40 days isnt a long time, when you consider how long you havent been 100% well..your body will heal and clean house in its own time....
