In order to become raw and vegan, I threw out all of my makeup. My Mac, my Bobbi Brown...etc.
Yes natural is nice but the only problem is...I love makeup.
I am trying to find better alternatives to these brands.
I am ordering from a company called Crushgroovecosmetics.com and the makeup is all raw and natural.
and then I ordered some Nvey Eco eyeliner and some Terre D'Oc mascara from Macy's.
Also I am using Carol's Daughter.
What do you ladies like to use? What are your favorite products?

I have quite long days at school sometimes and I find it doesn't always last very well. I've yet to find a natural mascara that doesn't flake or smudge AND provide the huge volume that I love (former L'Oreal Voluminous addict). :)
While this is a very interesting point - and one I often agree with, the idea of women who won't leave the house with "doing their face" frankly terrifies me - there are times when wearing makeup is just FUN, and for those times I think it's great to have more natural options. There are also times btw where wearing makeup is part of WORK (I am thinking of performing on stage here, something I do fairly often).
And, don't forget, cultural conditioning goes both ways. :-) As makeup can be a lot of fun to wear, especially doing crazy designs like tribal patterns etc., maybe you should question why MEN don't wear it more often. ;-)

AGREED.
Like everything "bad", make-up can be a beautiful thing, depending on the context and how rarely it's used. Say you only applied make up as part of a spiritual ritual, for example.
ok thats great that you have never been induced with junk in your life. a lot of the stuff that caused me stress and dis-ease might not have occured had i not had junk ... sigh!!!
anyways your diet sounds great!
I never had great skin and i love this advice. but of course am sure my body is finding the way and it will pick up its own guides. am very open to all possibilities. but of course cant go back to anything less than high raw as i am now. my body reacts otherwise.
i havent been doing too great with nuts and seeds either lately. too hard to digest ...even when soaked for hours on end. sprouts are still good and energising but nothing like a fresh raw drink!
thank you for all your helpful advice!

You are lucky to have been raised on a healthy diet - I've never had good skin and I was raised on a junk food diet. My mom never served veggies or fresh fruit. I made the decision myself when I was 17 to partake in the diet I have now, but by then I was already sick with terrible acne.
I can't do nuts/seeds or bananas either. Makes me breakout terribly. Citrus and tomatoes cause me problems too. I've also noticed since eating as much organic as possible my skin problems have diminished.
I agree with aishwarya, it's great to get wonderful advice. :) Thank you for sharing!
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
hi honey,
we did an experiment in school with ear candles. we set up one with a real person, followed directions perfectly...set up another the same way but instead of putting it in someones ear we just held it against a pillow...both candles had...
they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.
Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found.
I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen.
Healing with whole foods is a great start..
