I found GITMR when it still had around 500 members in it's infancy. I was mostly involved in the Living and Raw Foods Forum that a close friend moderates for the owner, John Kohl. I was looking for more social interaction in a Raw Food lifestyle community when I found GITMR.
I loved the high spirit and energy of this forum leading up to the 2008 Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona. The Raw Humour Group was my favorite place. I am sorry that some of the best threads ever had to disappear when Pete left and the Raw Humour Group's archive disappeared. There were some threads so hot and the posting rate was phenomenal as were all the ROTFL's and LMAO's and Barefoot Artist's number of "spewing barley max over her keyboard"'s or someone else's peeing in their pants they laughed so hard. We were really having a good time and I now have real life friendships that grew out of those cyber interactions.
Then came the shit storm when so many melodrama kings and queens got caught up in the posts over 80-10-10 versus David Wolfe, or whoever and a little war broke out. This grew out of people's reactions to Doug Graham's and David Wolfe's presentations at RSF '08. People felt they has to chose sides over ideology. Worse than that, people felt like they had to be right and prevail in their opinions. None of the perpetrators of those emotional and heated exchanges was willing to bend their knee or just walk away and be happy with their own personal preference on what works for them. Out of this came the melodramas with Durian Rider and others who are no longer here. Some left in disgust and pain having felt abused and some finally got booted off this site for their abusive style. And sadly, some people felt it was no longer safe to share their experiences here.
The negative energy created by these little "wars" spawned the creation of splinter groups, 30BAD and the Raw Humour Club are the two examples. Maybe that's a good thing. Everything changes, it's the only constant in the universe.
You still have me spewing BarleyMax all over the place Uti! Pete and Charles and Pink Lady Apple too! We just don't do it here anymore, but I have to be honest. I consider my Raw Humour friends to be my extended family. We all have our little positions in the family. The RSF Sedona '08 trip was the best trip of my life just being with everyone and then after that it all seemed to come apart. I love you guys. All of you.
Thanks for sending me here today Uti. I rarely ever come here, but I owe this site for giving me my tribe. For that I will be forever grateful. We grow and we move on, but our little family lives on. We're a bit scattered in the wake of everything, but we still are.
B.A. We definiitely need to get together and have another durian party. And, wasn't there supposed to be some sort of tent with cacao wrestling? Can't remember.
Pink Lady Apple,
I used to get those. I know exactly what they look like - they are tiny, they can vary in size, they are circular, flat, and very red. They do look like blood blisters, but flat!
I stop getting them after I did an extended water...
I really believe that is possible to heal all of the body...regeneration of tissue is not a far fetched concept. There is a case of a man who re-grew a finger, recently! I have to dig to find the article, but I read it on naturalnews.com. Mind you...
i can understand american accent, i have been working with them for quite a while
my ear is not tuned to ause accent yet, i guess you are my first ause friend to talk with :)
but i am gonna catch up soon
