I really enjoy camping and being outdoors. I would like to one day be able to survive on my own in the wilderness without the aid of society. In essence, I want to truly be self sufficient. My issue now is that I'm a little hesitant about eating raw meat. It's a concept that I am completely oblivious to. I am fine with hunting, killing and consuming it, but not sure on what parts to eat and what parts to avoid. Not sure on how I'm supposed to protect it and if it can be stored. Any tips from you raw meat eaters out there would be greatly appreciated!
It's sometimes confusing because he will eat anything raw, but then recommends to always cook it. I'm wondering if there is there a legitimate reason behind that or is he just not aware of the raw concept as we know it.
My preferred choice of nourishment is fruit. In the case that I don't have that available to me, I would like to be prepared. I definitely wouldn't mind eating meat if I the situation called for it.

as for those survivor guys..they are probably legally obligated to say that about the cooking, plus they probably also believe - as most folks I think - that that kinda stuff CAN be dangerous when talking about someone eating standard fare (very toxic, very slow transit time, very bad digestion, very unconscious all around, and likely to be mixing/digesting all kinds of foods at once)
Situation: Any that involves a limited food source. I would be ok with eating fish as long as I knew what I was doing. I'll do my best to not have to consume grass...lol.
If you have juicer (best yield comes with non centrifugal) then try juicing ginger root and adding it to either warm or hot water to drink. I use use ginger and cayenne a lot especially in winter as the are both circulatory stimulants and therefor...
Marinated black olives are perfect healthy raw treat for any givin moment. I love having these marinated olives with a bowl of fresh wild baby rocket leaves or any mixed baby leaves and a glass of water.
