I have low digestive enzymes and I was wondering what a good digestive enzyme supplement would be to take. Also should I take it before eating or right after?
Right now I take Digest Gold by Enzymedica but I was wondering if there are any other better ones out there.
Thats an awesome answer Alex! It's funny because I never really liked mint before but now I want it all the time. Maybe that is why. Also tumeric. It is great on so many things- but it is like a craving for me.

Well I have type 1 Diabetes and my doctor says that it can affect my pancreas and its ability to produce/secrete digestive enzymes. I have 2 autoimmune diseases that cant be healed through nutrition. I mean it helps eating mostly raw and vegan but I still cant get off my meds and it sucks.

Tony, if you haven't talked with him already I would highly recommend speaking to my good friend Robby Barbaro. He is 21 and has type 1 diabetes. He is 100% 80/10/10 low fat raw vegan. He eats only fruits and vegetables. He isn't off meds yet but he has significantly reduced his meds. I believe he's been doing it for 3-4 years.
He's very passionate about helping others with diabetes through diet. Should be able to find him on google.
Tony, I strongly suggest that you investigate Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida. I just returned from spending most of August there myself. After having been 100% raw for almost six years, I consider the HHI way the ultimate move into truly optimal health. Do a little research on it if you're not familiar with them. They're the only raw vegan resource that has 50 years of success and solid medical research behind them. They keep records on everyone who has gone there for health reasons and follow them when they leave. They have had great success with all of your issues and you may be very surprised that what you've been told about the autoimmune diseases just might not be true. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck and commend you on taking your health into your own hands.
Alex this makes so much sense...i can eat my properly combined fruit breakfast, and get pain up under my ribs on the left and right side...digestion just isnt as great as it should be....luckily i know all my kineisiology points, and this gets my digestion flowing...
i had a severe gall attack when i was around 12-13 years old...never went to doc or anything, from then on my digestive woes really started....were all gone symptoms free for 4 years all raw, then zap the whole chili/thailand getting ill experience, symptoms have come back,on and off...last 2 years....

Taking digestive enzymes might suppress digestive symptoms that are indicative of other problems. In this place, you can become dependent and digestive enzymes the rest of your life. A better way to heal this issues is to not take the digestive enzymes, but see if you can change your eating patterns to heal your digestion.
Learn the food combining rules. Or better yet, mono eat. Then set up the conditions when you eat for optimal digestion. Chew you food super well. Make sure you are calm and rested when you eat, not tired or stimulated or emotionally disturbed. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, or worried, then better to eat when you are feeling better.
LifeGive Brand: HHI-ZYME Digestive Aid is the best digestive enzymes I've ever found. They're the highest quality, are totally plant-based, and are produced to the highest consistent standards. They're bottled for Hippocrates Health Institute which doesn amazing research to find the finest plant supplements before putting their name on anything. Take 5 with each meal at first (or if you're eating cooked). If eating all raw, you can cut back to two with each meal as your digestion improves. Brian Clement, HHI's director, takes 20 daily on an empty stomach for anti-aging benefits.
wow thanks Raw Truth...so i could eat 2 with each meal,i am guessing they would ship to Australia?
i will have my test on tuesday then highly consider these...much appreciate your info xo
ps how do they have anti ageing benefits?is it because then the body doesnt have to use vital nerve energy to digest food?
canyou message me with a link as to where to buy these, would be helpful, thank you :)
just got onto google and we have a Hippocrates health centre in aus...all i can see is the food enzymes and digestive compound..which are you referring to?
The Australian Hippocrates is not affiliated with Hippocrates Health Institute (orginated by Ann Wigmore and Viktorus Kuvlinskis now directed by Dr. Brian Clement who worked with Ann Wigmore). The products offered on the Australian website are not what I'm referring to.
Despite others using her name, HHI in Florida is the one started in Boston by Ann Wigmore -- the authentic, only one. Here's a link to their website. There are lots of videos there with info. The difference is obvious: http://www.hippocratesinst.org/
thank you so much RawTruth...will check it out,i had the visa poised for go,but i will look at this now...mucho appreciation to you...xo
clicked on the link, but i cant access the video, and i also cant see whats in the enzymes.can anyone tell me exactly whats in them please, before i purchase?
