Give it to me Raw

Why do you suppose we feel shitty on Raw?

& do not tell me Durian (<3), that we choose to feel it, sometimes we don't do anything, we just wake up and feel shit, you only think yourself into pain to an extent. I agree with you that if someone is depressed then they are stuck inside egoic thoughts and need to crack open Tolle's book New Earth. I am asking why these feelings come about in the first place. Like say why do we feel so high on a raw food diet, after we eat greens - is this our body telling us we are giving it what it wants & if we feel shitty is this our body telling us we aren't giving it what it needs.

Maybe we need to start looking at food nutrient charts, to see if we are missing something important & also sunshine is a must, my body screams for sunshine when I am raw, I love to sungaze, even mid day (and no evidently I am not blind =P).

Can you guys please check to see if you are missing any of the good stuff out? Also please read some Eckhart Tolle, if what we put into our body effects our hearts and minds then the way we run our hearts and minds will too effect the body, I guess its which ever is stronger at the present moment that rules out. So to clarify maybe the nutrients we pump into our bodys may sometimes be a weaker antitode than the poision we are cultivating in our minds.

Another thing, I belive that the ego wants us to be depressed (ever feel like a part of you is reluctant to let go of it even if another part is screaming our to be rid of it? I have. It's like a safety blanket in a way, an excuse, a piece of 'who you are'. Does that make sense?) when it has no other way to strengthen itself, if we are raw, we have created good mental & emotional health using food yet we are still identifying with egoic thoughts, then we are giving the ego holes inside our souls in to which it can leak into, and seeing as we have become pretty well grounded, it gets desperate and suckerpunches us with depression. So to drop the depression, maybe we need to stop paying attention to egoic thoughts so that the healthy body becomes stronger then the corrupt mind and so can bring our heart back into balance.

These are just my thoughts on it, please share any you have <3

Maybe depression on raw comes from the ansiety that we can no longer eat what we used to enjoy and that we see others eating those things..

Good point.
I swear Dhrumil talked about how he got Depressed and wanted to cooked eat foods he was never attracted to before. Maybe they were the reason for those feelings in the first place.

For me, raw has given me a much clearer understanding of when I'm in alignment and when I'm not. I can't lie to myself about overeating, not exercising, repressing emotions, because those thoughts just somehow won't go away unless and until I deal with them. When I'm feeling great, I feel way better than I did when I was eating cooked. But when I'm out of alignment, I know much better than I would know being on cooked, so yes, one can almost feel worse in those times. But it's just life's way of telling you you're not listening to your body or your heart, and I find speaking loudest when eating raw. I think it's worth the kick in the butt for that kind of guidance, though, so welcome it and make the necessary changes!

GREENS!!!!
I had depression, anxiety, irritability... all on and off the raw diet, until I added 2-3 bunches of dark leafy greens to my smoothies + greens in salad!

Maybe you feel bad because you are too idealistic, you can't just be happy with being what you are. What is 'having it all', why would 'having it all' make you happy? If you can't accept yourself fragmented and unfinished then you won't be able to accept yourself when 'you have it all'.
You can't run from the those feelings because they are you. If you say you just want to be happy, you are saying you don't want to be what you are, and what you are is unhappy. You are what you are.You may not like what you are but you need to accept & love it or you split yourself into two and each part will try and tare the other apart. If you are unhappy about being unhappy then are you just not making yourself more unhappy? The feelings won't leave until you accept them and stop trying to get rid of them.

Right, like Dorothy learned in Oz, "The next time I go looking for my heart's desire, I won't look any further than my own backyard; if it's not there, then I never really lost it to begin with."

I think a lot of people are mentally unhealthy and think that by controlling what they eat, they can control the direction their lives are taking. So they get into some very restrictive thought patterns "this is good, this will make me clean & pure. this is bad, this will make me sick and dirty." They toe the line and do everything and they are still mentally unhealthy, maybe worse than before, because they are putting these rigid self-imposed rules on their health & happiness. And so they feel very depressed.

I'm also of the opinion that when you feed your brain on glucose, your blood sugar rises & drops drastically through they day, along with your energy level, and you feel as tho you cannot think or act efficiently. (which is why so many say greens is the key, because its not fruit/ sugar) I found that when I went very low carbs, got into a true state of ketosis and my brain started working on ketone bodies instead of glucose, my energy level stayed VERY steady and even, no more crashes 20 minutes after a meal, and greatly improved clarity of thought.

Of course I still have off days where I'm not feeling so amped on my life, but they are always based on some outside causes (like a bicker with my sister, or a day of very low sales or something) NOT chemically based, where I feel like I just cannot get out of bed because I'm so depressed.
