Apparently, some people like taking dried spaghetti strands and stabbing it through hot dogs, then boiling the whole thing. Even if I wasn't raw vegan, there's something that just seems so wrong about this.
Anyone know of any other bizarre food combinations?
That's disgusting looking. Since i've been raw/vegan... My craziest food combination was probably kelp noodles with ground sunflower seeds and sea salt.
Before going raw, though... I was in the hospital (I was hospitalized a lot back then) and the dietician found out that I was vegetarian (keep in mind that this is normal, old-school cooked vegetarian, still eating dairy and junk). The dietician was frustrated and kept asking if chicken nuggets were vegetarian. There was nothing on the menu that was entirely veg-friendly, so she got creative. I was delivered a pasta salad with, I kid you not, a canned pear in the middle, tater tots on the side and pudding.
Oh, that dietician would have a hard time with me now. However, I don't think many raw foodists end up in hospitals arguing with dieticians.

Quarter stottie (white bread in a big flat round shape, specially for sarnies) gravy and chips was my lunch of choice throughout high school. I switched from gravy to curry sauce when turning veggie, v healthy har har, all the refined and fried carbs plus some artificial msg for good measure... when dieting, I forwent the meal and just had a drink ... full sugar iron brew. Why don't they teach you useful stuff at high school? I could do simultaneous equations, knew how to work out the area of any two-dimensional shape and knew the atomic weight of the first fifty elements. But I thought drinking iron brew and smoking cigarettes was a good approach to my diet problems.
Your dog is sooo cute! I have a dog too and two cats, and I looove them! I feed them wheatgrass and they actually choose that before regular grass wich they normally chew on in the garden.
I decided to have a 50/50 raw/cooked meal at Vita last night, having had a desire for warm meals for last couple of weeks. They had a Vegan Paella, it was amazing but it's only the second time I have had grains for a year and I had headache soon a...
It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
Yes, I believe two out of the four pineapples I've had the last several months have been alright with me, after having let them "ripen" for some days. The one that turned out the best was one I stored in a bag of ripening bananas. I did the same t...
