Hi Suzie,
How long raw are you? If within 3 years the nut cravings can be a sign that you maybe either transitioning too quickly to a high or completely raw diet. The enthusiastic rush to be raw at the beginning, too much too soon, can cause emotional issues to surface at a rate faster than you might be able to handle. Try experimenting with the % cooked to help slow down the process instead of using the fat. I used to eat raw everyday until I could no longer feel comfortable, usually around the 4-5 day mark at the beginning and as the months went by it would slowly extend to 6, then 7 days. Once I managed 7 days I went 100% raw.
I have been 100% raw for a whole 1 year now..but i was transitioning for a year before that...but if i eat cooked fud i am no gud
... i just want to sleep and have no energeeee...coz i had cfs...so its not an option 4 me....c..
.thats the crux of it...
.nuts make me feel nutty and moody and geeez just end up with IBS and stuff aaargh ... but i do notice that i feel full after eating some nuts... and not that light feelin if i stick to my super green avo smoothies..when i feel a cool as cucumber!!!..as they have plenty of cuc in my smoothies (:
How do you eat raw meat? Do you just basically take it out of its package from the store and put it on a plate and eat it? Season it...? Warm it a bit?
I feel so programmed, but I just can't imagine it being digestible in my human body. It's like the one thing I was always warned about not even touching... though that was the really creepy factory raised meat I was warned about.
I'm tempted to try it one of these days. I've eaten live insects so I guess I could do this, just thank the animal and send that species lots of love and gratitude... I always feel that the animals need an extra amount of gratitude from us, given what we're putting them through to learn our kindergarden lessons about interconnection and reverence for life. I want to try raw meat but don't think it's a habit i could get into actually.
Cool, thanks for the info and sharing.
I read a quote once that was "you are what you eat eats". Don't remember where, maybe on this website somewhere. Grass fed animals seem a lot more natural than grain fed... if it is cooked grains they're getting fed. What kind of animal besides humans cooks grains?
I'm toying with the possibility. It kind of fascinates me... but i'm actually too scared to try it. I'll know when I'm ready if its for me. I'm not looking to gain weight though... but feel stronger and more grounded and embodied.
Yeah, I like seeds, not so fond of nuts. I used to overeat them and I think my liver holds its breath every time I come into contact with them now.
I ve been thinkin about raw mat...for a while...and i shud really try it...wat about the parasites tho?? I ve heard amazzing stories about folks eating raw meat and feelin loads better...but i dont want to eat animal flesh but i s'pose its wisdom ??
This sounds to me like really good advice...thanks (:

I craved tahini, jungle peanuts, goldenberry brazil cookies, and pesto walnutz.
This was after dropping inferior fats mind you. Nuts at night are an issue. I might have needed them to absorb toxins because I was heavily detoxing. The thing with nuts is you really really have to chew them or go with nut butters, nut fragments are just wrong in the body. I've heard if that almond butter gets you there then by all means go through with it (responsibly) and learn that way. It's not easy to trick your mind into being raw, there are years of eating habits to unlearn and break away from, so "I can't say don't go but I can't say go", either.

Suvine I have never heard this from ANY CH I know and I know a few of the biggies. On the contrary that most nut butters will be rancid (maybe you are talking about pyureeing them first?) and many arn't into alot of the fermented nut and seed cheeses either. Not trying to start shit of course :) just wondering what gave you that Idea :)
Personally I think brazil nuts, pecans, macs and walnuts (in shell) seem to digest ok and almonds if you can get them. seeds like soaked chia seem to be good but I've only tried them a few times. running contrary to alot of folks, I think oils can function well in a healthy diet also as a digestble fat along with avocado/durian and good quality breadfruit. generally the few times I've had gourmet nut recipes at restaurants the nuts taste a little funny to me.
for the OP I would try filling up on the foods that you love and find the most healthful and tackle any emotional issues that arise separately. if you are not 100% raw then including some healthy transition foods like quinoa or sweet potato would be preferable then overdoing the nuts regularly.

Chewed slowly and thoroughly mixed with saliva they do just fine for me. Mixing with fresh or dried fruit doesn't work for me - so adios to trail mix. My little rustic cabin doesn't have indoor plumbing yet, so in cold weather I have to empty and wash my "chamber pot" every day, which has been educational because observing my shit is unavoidable. If something isn't digesting it's pretty obvious.
I ve heard this too...i mean that colonic therapists say you should nt eat uts...and when you think about it...they are after all in such hard shells well most of them....and maybe thats 4 a reason??
hey. =D well i luvvvv cheezy kale chips. before that it was vegan cheezy nutz. lol once in a while its fine to enjoy them. just make sure its a balance. the more your body lets go of toxins the easier it will be for you to say no to those foods on your own without craving them. it will all come at the right time, the mind being in peace and the body satisfied. =D
Watch all three nights online. Some great info was given, but seemed like it was all about getting people to buy more and more products. All I know is that they made a TON of money.
I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
