Give it to me Raw

What are the foods you believe are necessary for you to consume each day to ward off cravings, feed hunger, nourish, etc? What do you eat everyday because it makes you feel good? And of course I'm talking raw!

An abundant amount of seasonal juicy fruit and greens..... nothing else needed.. really.

Every morning I have either smoothies full of greens or a fruit salad is with yogurt, fruit and a local carob syrup, which is so high in iron, as I have been tested as anemic.This has been heated but it is so powerful and minimally processed. I have also started to drink a shot of alfalfa juice I blend myseld with water in orange juice or tea in the mornings to help with this iron deficiency. Its like wheatgrass, just tastier. Bee pollen in my fruit salads makes a big difference at least in my mind...just an intuitive feeling I get.

I also need to have to have some local seafood a couple times a week. Some is raw, in ceviche, and sometimes I have some fish stews or grilled octopus. I can also get octopus raw and marinated in ceviche but I don´t like it so much. I am interested in optimum health and so this is what I am trying currently.

I also need drinks with a glutinous texture at least weekly- from flax seeds or aloe vera. The aloe vera really helped my skin which was dehydrated and getting crinkly.

And chirimoyas because they make me soooo happy. Its about mental health.

Also I try and include some traditional foods in my diet each week- this could be purple maize corn drink, boiled pinneaple skin water, the seafood dishes, or emoliente (tea of flax, boldo, horsetail, alfalfa, cat´s claw- delicious, but I buy it in the street so they use normal sugar to make it sweet). Many traditional dishes have a nutritional sense behind them that has been utilized for centuries, and seeing as I have access to it here in Peru, I make the most of it.

All of this makes me feel I am nurturing my body and mind.

Bananas, spinach, mango, oranges, and berries (and avocados, too)

My core components haven't changed much over the years, even as I morphed into gourmet stuff, I still eat the caveman diet mentioned above.
