Does anyone have a good recipe for coconut jerky? I really like the version they serve at Rawvolution in LA and I'm gonna attempt it. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on what to use for the marinade.
what a great idea! i live in hawaii so there's lots of coconuts around and when i get a dehydrator - i'm makin a shit load of it! please do share the recipe when you get it! :)
cool! ah, hawaii...nice! so far i am thinking of doing it kind of asian style- nama shoyu, ginger, garlic, honey, hot pepper, a little oil...something like that. i'll let you know how it turns out.
But Rawvolution's version is so much darker if I am remembering right. I had their coconut burger/sandwich once and I loved it! Their ingredients are online so this may help too-

ok- i made it and it came out pretty tasty! i marinated the coconut meat in nama shoyu, a little olive oil, some cumin, coriander, cardamom- i think that was it. then i dehydrated overnight. like i said- pretty tasty!
