Give it to me Raw

Does anyone have a good recipe for coconut jerky? I really like the version they serve at Rawvolution in LA and I'm gonna attempt it. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on what to use for the marinade.

cool! ah, hawaii...nice! so far i am thinking of doing it kind of asian style- nama shoyu, ginger, garlic, honey, hot pepper, a little oil...something like that. i'll let you know how it turns out.

The only recipe for coconut jerky I have come across is here-
http://stanford.wellsphere.com/raw-food-article/coconut-jerky-and-c...

But Rawvolution's version is so much darker if I am remembering right. I had their coconut burger/sandwich once and I loved it! Their ingredients are online so this may help too-

http://www.rawvolution.com/?q=ingredients

Cocophoria Sandwich
Thai coconut flesh, lettuce, tomato, garlic, lemon juice, curry, sea salt, cayenne, onion, cashews, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, tamari, olive oil.

Please post if you make it and let us know how it goes.

thanks Jane! Rawvolution told me they marinate the coconut flesh in their Thai soup- I just didn't ask about the ingredients for the soup. I'm going there today- maybe I'll ask them...

Can't stand stevia, just tastes wrong, chemical or something. There was a time when I didn't go a day without Agave but I don't have a need for it anymore.
