I came across this video from ABC news and I'm kinda shocked...in good way..
this video states that childbirth is not really supposed to be painful,it can be a real pleasant experience on both emotional and physical level...and that women can actually orgasm during delivery...
anybody heard of this before?
what do u think?
wow Ev.....
sounds amazing.... did u have to train for it?
or just being raw, loving and knowing how to breath and be in touch with ur instincts was enough?
was ur husband there with u the whole process?
Wow, I've never heard such a thing before. I always thought birth is supposed to be incredibly painful. So did you not take any painkillers? Had you been eating a totally raw diet for a considerable time before your births? I am very curious as to why the experience would be so painful for other people while you and others found it enjoyable. It would be great to learn more. I'm in the health/medical field myself, and this sort of thing seems pretty unheard of to me. I'll have to check out the website you mentioned.
i've heard of Hypno Birth where they basically re programme all the words you use to describe what happens at a birth, and re name everything, and de-brainwash you about what giving birth could be like. And it creates painless, orgasmic birth experiences. And also I knew a doctor when I was child who was a hypnotist, he used hypnosis for women in childbirth and they had painless birth, he was th consultant anesthetist at the local hospital!
I remember Jinjee - of Storm and Jinjee www.thegardendiet.com describing her 5th raw birth. Her partner was giving her oral sex during labour, she said it was a blissful birth!
what about the fact that they say if the man witnesses the child delivery then he kinda looses interest in sex with that woman?
it this appliable just to what i call "sex-idiots"?
yes, same mentality I guess that makes a man want a baby to stop breastfeeding so he can have his boobs back. I met some men who appeared to be absolutely floored by the experience - mine did not get off sex, but I guess it did affect him slightly. Others seem to flourish... There is an opinion within the holistic birthing circles that really, man should not be pressurised into being there, which is often the case, because they are not programmed to it. Some men do emrace the role completely though and are invaluable during the process. "We birth as we live". Jeannine Parvati Baker (RIP).
of course i think for a woman it's nicer to have the man kissing, huging and caressing...but hey..if that has to lead to him seeing u as a non-sexual being then no...
anyway I'm not pregnant,I'm single too..but my maternal instinct is really strong and i feel i need to learn as much as i can to be ready for my babies..
All of htis is true. Hypnobirthing is excellent way to get you and your partner (birthing partner, doesn't have to be the father) into the state of relaxation and trusting the process. I knew very little with my first birth, and was psyching myself up for an unassisted birth, which it would be - and a fine one for that! - if midwives did not arrive and put me on my back. Second one was better - and the third one was - well, not orgasmic, but blissful nevertheless. I did have a midwife, but she completely stepped back, it was dark, in the pool, and I delivered the head myself with a lot of vocalising (thinking I was singing, which my partner still laughs about, cos he thought I was rather shrieking). I would say that the most important part of preparation for the birth itself is working with fear. Recognising it as a inhibitor, one can turn the fear into a positive affirmation. For instance - "I am affraid of pain" becomes "I am aware of the strength of the sensation dueing labour and am welcoming it" etc. One word of caution, though, when listening my hypnobirthing tape with my third pregnancy, the tape got stuck. So I had "stuck" in my head, and guess what - shoulder dystocia and subsequent assisted delivery (only manual, with midwife, on all-fours - what's called Gaskin Manouver) Other than that, ladies, we are such a clever creatures - we can have our births and enjoy them. Blessings, to all.
I'm on a computer in the library right now (as I was on Thursday), so any posts may be a little short. I was a little stressed by the reapplication information about the CAB because I had the same issues with finding paid work to fit around it bef...
Thanks for checking this out Vamp. It is truly amazing if you can be open minded enough to watch the video. People act like we haven't invented space travel. If you can accept that- then how hard would it be to accept jumping onto a planet that is...
starting to plan for this now ! right in the midlle of holidays !
i'm thinking about doing a week, but may extend with blended foods depending on how much detox I experience. Can't get the 'flu' just yet.
thanks....so grateful & dave is the best !...
Hi El-bo,
You're absolutely right; sodium is not the problem, but sodium chloride, and inorganic mineral salt which always causes water retention and raises blood pressure. We don't need any of that.
Adrenal fatigue is indicative of overall exhaustion. When the body is already is exhausted and has no real energy left, it calls on the adrenal gland to produce adrenaline. The body doesn't have much of a choice because as we continue to force it ...
if sodium is consumed from natural sources then the body will be able to deal with it naturally...it won't be stored like toxins etc
water retention is the bodies way of diluting toxic matter....it will do this with salt (table. himalayan, sea, m...
