Give it to me Raw

Just wondering. I mean I'm sure you can, but does it taste foul? Are there any nutrients in the stem?

And what about the core? Can that be juiced too?

Dear Charles,

The ultimate juicing experience involves juicing an 'organic' pineapple in its entirety...skin, core, & flesh. The core contains a concentration of bromelain. The skin adds more pineapple essence (taste) & creamy froth to the mix.

Peace,

Pineapple Head

Alright, I'll try it next time. I have a Super Angel 3500 so it can handle it.

Yeah I would be worried about hurting the juicer but if you have a really good one that's great. Hydraulic press ones also seem like they would be great but really they wouldn't get much out of skin. Bromelain is so important in anti-inflammatory additions to the diet so it is nice to get as much out as possible. The fact tha they are so high in sugar is a concern though for people who are trying to heal from autoimmune related diseases. In that case a supplement of bromelain would be optimal.

i like sub-acid sweet pineapples. but the losers have like a patent on the 'head' - so u can never buy them with the heads on. i love planting pineapple heads though.

pineapples are weird eh. Wiley old foxes.

Dear Charles,

just to be 100% clear...if by stems, you mean, the crown or head; i have other than ever heard of anyone juicing this part of the pineapple. Of course, this part can be planted for growing more pineapples.

Peace,

Pineapple Head

David Jubb says that aloe skin has many more nutrients than the inner fillet. He says it has tons of vitamin c. I guess pineapple stems are quite nutritious as well.

wow, i've been wondering about the aloe skin as i scoop out the flesh and put it in smoothies.

do youse guys actually blend the whole leaf, skin and all?

I think the stems are the healthiet part. Big time cancer fighter.

Put stem in blender with water and pineaplle slices, or the stem with water or the stem with another smoothie

i'm lookin in my qigong food book, unfortunately the pictures and instructions don't make perfect sense to me, so good luck

point is, the stem is way importante, senior gusto.

Hi family. I've been eating 100% raw for the past 40 days. Before that, I was about 70% raw for a few years, and I struggled with bulimia (purging the cooked food that I ate). No purging, no cooked food for 40 days. My cheeks are slightly puffy ...

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
