sure you digest sunlight through your skin and air through your water. (not with our food digestive tract)
however edmond bordeuax szekely. has said it is possible we will evolve that way. but not any time soon. so i think if you don't want to be skin and bones or just bones - then food is good.
i don't think so. we cannot photosynthesize. we grow up eating. if it were natural to not eat then i'd say children wouldn't be having breastmilk for a start.
We do photosynthesize. It's called something else but i can't remember.
Some forms of radiations can be taken into the body directly, ie -
solar radiations (light) acting on the receptors in the skin - kind
of like photosynthesis in plants - except that whereas with plant
synthesis the end product is chlorophyll - the end product of light
upon the skin can be measured in the blood count - sunlight makes
healthy blood.

I understand this is all hypothetical and all (and of course very interesting), but I'd like to add this aspect to the discussion:
WHY?
Why would you want to survive/live without food (except the obvious financial/time benefits).
And by survive, do you mean that your body just functions, or do you mean actually live (thrive)?
Because I can tell you right now, as well as at least a couple thousand girls (and boys) with anorexia, that you can make it through extensive periods of time without food.
What I've noticed is that many people who claim to survive on sunlight (or air for that matter) eat a little every now and then, which just makes them very "good" and "happy" anorexic individuals in my eyes. And as Travis so wisely said.. we can't photosynthesize... we're not plants, after all.
And I don't mean to offend anyone by this, this is just my view... I'd love to hear your responses to this, maybe I'm missing out on something.
