can washing with alkaline soaps hurt your immune system?

Daniel vitalis talks about how washing your body with soaps kills off the good bacteria on your skin which acts like a shield against viruses.

does anyone know if this is because most soaps are alkaline? the bacteria on the skin needs to live in an acidic environment.

does anyone know the ph level of dr bronner's soaps?

i thought I remembered reading somewhere that the acid mantle on the surface of the skin is back within a couple of hours of washing, even with an alkaline soap. I always have trouble getting all of the residue off, plus there is that dry tight feeling, so that in itself is a good reason to avoid :)

Not only that, but Dr. Mercola says don't use soap because it you're washing away the Vitamin D3 that your body generates after sun exposure.

I stopped using soap in the shower a few months ago and now use both a salt bar and a mud bar. I feel pretty clean. I only use soap to wash my hands.

It's literally just Himalayan pink crystal salt, smoothed into a soap bar shape. They sell them at natural grocery stores, plus you can always find them at the Raw Spirit Fest and other raw expos.

I only use power made out of moong, neem leafs etc., mix that in water apply and rub the body while taking bath.

I really like auromere mudbath..... it's like smearing chocolate sauce all over your body and face... I like to make tree bark designs on my skin with it... it smells kind of like earthy tumeric and makes your skin really soft... doesn't dry the skin like bentonite clays
