i thought I remembered reading somewhere that the acid mantle on the surface of the skin is back within a couple of hours of washing, even with an alkaline soap. I always have trouble getting all of the residue off, plus there is that dry tight feeling, so that in itself is a good reason to avoid :)
It's literally just Himalayan pink crystal salt, smoothed into a soap bar shape. They sell them at natural grocery stores, plus you can always find them at the Raw Spirit Fest and other raw expos.
I really like auromere mudbath..... it's like smearing chocolate sauce all over your body and face... I like to make tree bark designs on my skin with it... it smells kind of like earthy tumeric and makes your skin really soft... doesn't dry the skin like bentonite clays

We get a fair number of applicants, and it varies all the time.
It is absolutely NOT required that someone be raw for any length of time. What is required is that someone be truly open and coachable.
