i am just curious? what do you think? I am hoping the answer is yes cuz i don't mind lifting or stretching or walking, but cardio is just a pain in my ass and i never enjoy it unless i am dancing and i'm not even sure if that counts as cardio. i just keep hearing how cardio is supposed to be so great for you, and people should get more. =)
it always gets my heart rate going, but i don't know that could just be the hormones, you know? maybe it is much too enjoyable to actually be a fantastic exercise. ^_^
sex is cardio and so is dancing!!!!! woo-hoo. of course it depends on the INTENSITY that you are performing (ahem-you) and how long. but if you are losing your breath, your heart is pumping, you are sweating...you can bet you're doin it right. you might need to have a lot of sex to get good cardio results, but every little bit counts. as for dancing- i love it too. i turn on music and dance like a crazy person in my room for at least a half hour. i also have been bike riding-again intensity is important to me cause it's gonna help me whittle down and challenge my heart.
Endurance excercise (running, biking, swimming, dancing) will result in more efficient use of oxygen in the muscles if you regularly do it-so try to do it as much as possible. your heart and skeletal muscle will thank you.
depends on the kind of sex, and more importantly how long does it last?
but i don't think it would be the most efficient workout cause sex drains fluid and minerals from the body
athletes always debate weather or not is good to have sex before competitions, some say it drains too much energy, other say it actually raises hormone levels, so who knows? to each their own.
dancing would count as cardio as long as you dance for more than 20-30 minutes.
I actually saw on that "biggest loser show'' one of the Baldwin guys tried to pull the 'I've been having hours of sex' thing..and they judges did not buy allow it...or buy it...or both I think.
a good way to increase cardio is adding short exercises in between your regular strength training. stuff like jumping jacks..jump rope etc...

I LOVE this topic. haha!
The way most people have sex, no it is not cardio. But yes you can make it so. And it can also count for some strength and flexibility if you get into creative positions. :D
how does the seat location factor into getting more or less calories on an airplane?
Standing? where do i find a woman that is 6'10?
and how do 2 people lie down in a phone booth? must be a raw food couple
I don't think this exists for humans yet, unfortunately - but what I think would be the healthiest mattress (and virtually free of dust-mites, even bed-bugs which inflict some homes recently) for humans would be the same as the healthiest for pets...
