I would really like to hear from anyone who went raw to help with a weak digestion (or simply anyone with real knowledge) What way of eating has helped, if any?
Cheers and may I say it is a beautiful hot 30 degrees here in Sydney today. A great day for mangoes!
:)
Thats great info, thanks. I have been wondering about my liver recently. I have been getting red flecks on my skin esp around belly/hip area. On the topic of stool colour, since doing mono mangoes, the colour of stools is the same as the mangoes. Is this indicative of the mangoes or liver function (or disfunction) do think?
Yes I hear you on the water front. I thought by going raw that I wouldn't need to drink as much water but it seems that info was wrong. I have been starting my day with 1-2 litres of water which I drink slowly over a couple hours while I get kids ready for school etc. That seems to be helping. Thanks again
i did it with this recepy, from this youtube-link, but with fresh lemons and fresh grapefruits, and I put some chilies into it as well.
I thought it will be awful, but it tasted ok, similar to a cold Tom Gha Kai- soup.
When the gall-juice starts to come back to the digestion, the stool starts to be coloured again like stool.
good luck with it.
have you tried acupuncture as well neet? god i remember feeling so truly awesome after walking out from it especially since it was in my pre eating well days! how funky do the herbs taste? well at least at first and its amazing how much better they can get.
I went raw because of digestive issues…they were just one of the reasons. I was on a lot of prescription medications, overweight, depressed, and constipated….
What started happening was that I would literally pass out when I went poop. I would get so constipated that the pressure would hit a nerve (I guess) and cause me to become nauseous and light-headed and I would pass out. My husband would often find me on the floor in the bathroom, or I would be bouncing off the walls trying to get to someplace where I could lay down. I injured myself often. The doctors were unable to figure it out. They wanted to put me on more medication and I had enough.
I found the Fit For Life book by Harvey Diamond and it all made sense to me.
I went raw overnight. It was a tough road for me. Major detox from the medications and detox from going to raw.
It took months for my digestion to begin to start to clear. It took years before I started having two bowel movements a day.
After I went raw, I only had one episode with the passing out and that is when I did a cleanse. Now I know to take it slow with my body and let it guide me in its healing.
I know there are others out there who do cleanses for particular organs. I have not reached a point where I feel comfortable doing that.
I do juice each day and I focus on smoothies and green soups. I eat lots of salads, sprouts, and fruits.
I do some mono-meals when my favorite fruits are in season but I have a tendency to get really depressed and angry if I do too many fruits for too long. I need the greens.
I am not sure if I have helped you any, I just wanted to let you know that your journey can take some time. Enjoy the fact that you are on the road to better health. Some get there faster than others. Me…I’m a little older than some of the youngsters on this site…and I have probably been exposed to more toxins than many on this site. So, I figure it will take me some time to clear it all out. I have been raw for 4 years. Not all of it 100%, but always high raw.
Yeah that helps heaps thank you. I have also put my body through alot over the years and I am a couple of years short of 40 so you could right, it may take a little longer. I think I just need to relax and have a little patience.
Thanks again
I just turned 50 a couple months ago. Just remember that you didn't get where you are overnight, nor will you be able to clear things up overnight. Just help your body the best you can based upon your determination, your circumstances, and your knowledge.
Yeah, I look back and think of how hard I was on myself and frustrated at various stages in my healing. Now I realize I was always where I was supposed to be, learning as fast as I could; each step along the way I had more information and wisdom, leading me to where I am in this moment. This moment will lead me further too in my healing, in the future. I remind myself that I accept where I am (à la Louise Hay).
Just think of how far we've all gotten without being herded through the medical establishment. Most of us have had to creatively find our own path in our natural healing. It's amazing how far we've gotten off the grid, so to speak.

Hi I don't think there was a lot of salt in the meal, I think they are quite particular about that, and No Vita isn't expensive, you pay £2.80 for your plate and then £1 per serving of anything else.
Lol, I'd forgotten about that - Is it still running?
