You may have heard about Harley flinging durian at Anthony at rawmodel.com.
Actually anthony edited harleys post. Anthony changed 'fcuk' to 'fuck' and deleted harleys original post that included some compliments and 'holding anthony to a higher standard' . Harley likes to clarify so people have an objective direction to follow rather than get lost in the confusion of it all.
Durianrider had a feeling he may get banned from GITMR when he held anthony to a higher standard but you know harley doesnt care about being popular, rather he prefers to clear the smoke from the magic show...
Harley wishes everyone well and if they want to contact him regarding any health matter he is still reachable at veganbobster@gmail.com and his youtube vids and podcasts are under 'durianrider' and always being updated with outrageous random vids etc..
I don't think there are more people against him. It's just those who think that their businesses are affected by his comments will definitely be more vocal and very likely will make that call to ban him. We should make a vote if you want.
Think about that before you go to bed tonight. Am I attacking Harley because he thinks that my business is useless to people, could he be right, what is the evidence that my ideas about health actually work.
We are attacking the big companies but we are doing the same thing on a mini-level. Trying to ban those who truly challenge us
It's possible to challenge someone tactfully. Granted it comes easier to some than others. But, being ignorant of the importance of tact, like being ignorant of the law, won't protect a person from the consequences of tactlessness.
Bottom line: we reap what we sow (and more importantly in this case...how we sow)
I think those who so adamantly defend this behavior may be subconsciously defending their own tendencies because they are too afraid to take a step back and look outside the box they've built for themselves. Hmmm... what if their was some validity to the experiences of others- even if it doesn't line up with their chosen ideology?
They want so badly to believe that they've found "it" and have reached the end of the journey that they will reactively defend anything that reinforces their viewpoint, no matter how offensive, unethical or insincere it may be. So many rationalizations that just don't hold up....
I want people to be rational. Rational means that when someone tells you about their experience, you don't twist it and filter it through the lense of your ideology, but look at the bigger picture and take time to weigh the potential truth in their story. Harley is notorious for the "I'm the only one who is ever right" mentality. No one is always right and those who think they are, are in my experience, often wrong!
Trust me- most people here don't have any business they're defending. Do you think we all sell superfoods or perform colonics? No- we're just people who don't like it when someone is rude, arrogant and egotistical. That's all.
I agree. I was even defensive when I was on high fruit. I wanted to think my struggles were over too.
That said, it was ONLY on high fruit that I was so defensive and afraid to change. And I have experimented with a lot of whole food and raw diets. But on other diets I was much more grounded and open to receiving the truth, including letdowns about the diet.
So maybe it's the sugar.
Like I said earlier, the 80-10-10ers are the only ones I seeing getting defensive and constantly telling everyone to eat that way. You can never tell an 80-10-10er that it didn't work! Go ahead and try! As soon as I posted that dilemma, someone here made that point for me!
There are the DRs and very similar types--aggressive, argumentative, dogmatic, "religious"--and they are always 80-10-10ers.
From my own experience on high fruit, from my doctor's stories of people who went insane as frugivores (and then got candida, etc.), and from what I read on raw forums, I think too much fruit makes you crazy.
If you posted a comment saying in a simialr manner: you people on 811 are so defensive and rigid, you don't want to admit that fruits causes candida.I tried it and caused many problems for me.
Then no one will call to ban you.
I guess you didn't notice the part where I said that most of us aren't selling anything.
I don't sell anything. I do neurofeedback therapy to help people with head injuries, trauma, learning disabilities, etc. Their own brain waves are what heal them. Doesn't get much more self-healing than that. No products- just their own brainwaves making adjustments.
I think it's funny how DR says he isn't selling anything- of course he is! He's "selling" a cult of personality and a promise of perfection. When it doesn't pan out, oh well.
he might have had a negative way of putting everything and oh boy do I disagree with most of his dietary principles. But I was glad that he was one of the few that fought basic quackery like colonics, cleanses, 90% of supplements, and superfoods. Too bad he had to be a meanie...
A higher standard? Wow! Then you must be starting pretty low.
Aside from his lack of social awareness (not really understanding how to make a difference with the people who had evolved PAST 80-10-10) and his general inability to communicate with some of the more educated among us, he was afraid to hear the truth.
He ignored and denied any reports of 80-10-10 failures and disasters.
He has had "clients" and others tell him their disaster and no-success stories on high fruit--it's in his own video--but that didn't sit well with his ego!
I would have to have very low self-esteem and no common sense to have followed that misguided fruit eater (that's all he his to me).
He knows nothing of standards, nor of allowing the truth to teach him.
I'm feeling deprived; I might have been a little too...early for these books. Sounds like they might be worth checking out though as I love a good children's book. Probably the right emotional level for me...

That sounds like fun.. There is a thing called double dutch where two girls hold two ropes and you have to jump them both at the same time.. maybe you could find a couple of girls to try this with you. It's pretty impressive when you see it..
