Give it to me Raw

Hey Rawies!

So I was at my fav raw spot today in NYC and had this kick ass coconut and carob smoothie! I thought to myself, this is enough! You need your own damn high power blender. I haven't wanted to invest in one because they are expense but this is just stupid, i would use it SO MUCH. I've been using my trusty tribest travel blender, but it just won't cut it if you want to make really great smoothies and raw treats.

Can you guys recommend the best place to get a blender, what is the best one that is affordable?

Thanks kids!

xo,
June

I've been trying to do the same thing... I need a real, high-power blender but don't have the money for a Vitamix. I would appreciate any suggestions for more affordable high power blenders

VitaMix is expensive, but they last forever and can power through nearly anything. Think about how long it will last when you look at the cost. Mine is more than 10 years old and blends everything without fail.

My 2 cents, ----tele

My favorite is the L'equip 228 blender,
http://store.therawdiet.com/l228bl.html

The Lequip makes awesome nut milk and green smoothies. The sauces and soups are smooth and creamy, no chunks like those cheap WalMart blenders.

The Lequip does a great job grinding and blending nuts and seeds. It also has a 10 year warranty so they will fix the blender if it breaks from blending too many almonds!

Does anybody out there have one of these that isn't selling them?

I had a L'equip RPM and it was great! I used it for years until I finally wore it out:) I always called it the "poor man's Vitamix", LOL!

im confused. matt monarch swears by regular colonic hydrotherapy. its his no.1 raw tip, didn't think it could be dangerous but now it kind of makes sense. enemas seem much more natural in comparison.

I've heard great, great things about Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA. I know that isn't really in the Los Angeles area, but it's still in CA and I believe they provide students the option to stay in their 'Living Light Inn'....

The way I see it is that generally people who label themselves are confident of the path they have chosen while, also generally, people don't don't label aren't quite as sure if what they're following is the right way to go.
