I am feeling the need to do an adrenal gland cleanse and was wondering if my GI2MR peeps had suggestions of any good ones out there. I greatly appreciate any wisdom thrown my way!
That's a good point about animals RawZi. I am familiar with urine therapy - cool to know that it has helped you. I do question though whether that is really true, I don't think all urine is sterile. If someone has an infection or a lot of waste in their system, it comes out in the urine.
Still, I think the issue with saliva is whether or not your body has healthy microflora. Most people (especially SAD folks - and anyone who's ever taken antibiotics and not done anything to rebuild their microflora) have imbalances of microflora, particularly candida overgrowth. And this comes out in the saliva. So if you put that in a ferment, you are putting a pathogenic yeast in it. An animal in the wild is very unlikely to have that condition.
I read not to do autourine therapy during a UTI, nor while eating cooked meat or fried foods Yes, that sounds wise!
But wouldn't the point of adding your saliva be to add good probiotics from your system? Or is it more for the energetic imprint... that would make sense. Yes the yeast pathogens would break down, but I'm not sure I'm understanding the point...
So tell me more about this tweaking yourself hormonally? what did you think you did that might have done that?
Also, how can I find out how my hormones are now?
I"ve had suspicions my hormones are off for a few years, and I did a fast at the Tree of Life 2 years ago. I wonder only because I don't think i ovulate anymore, and before I'd get pregnant without trying. I don't want to be pregnant, but it worries me that something might be off. What you said struck me that maybe my diet experiments have "tweaked" my hormones., or taking Maca, or something like that.
Hi Jef, I think I explained, but probably went on excessively and it got lost :) I did a liver flush, one that I prepared for considerably in advance. ...you know the kind where you drink olive oil & lemon juice, do coffee enemas etc. It was a very intense flush. I believe I dumped all the toxic bile from my liver into my colon and it was reabsorbed by my system. Likely one of the toxins was mercury. In any case, after that event, I started having profuse bleeding, developed fibroids etc.
Hormones are metabolized in the liver, that might be part of it. It might also be that I had toxic xenoestrogenic substances that got dumped into my system creating hormone imbalance. Or mercury went into my reproductive organs (that being one of the primary toxins for me). There is some relationship between candida and those types of problems - and associations between candida and mercury toxicity. In any case, it was a mess! Life out of balance - still working on the cleanup!
There are *so* many things that tweak hormones - all kinds of environmental toxins act as xenoestrogens and cause estrogen dominance - affecting both men and women. Improper detox (retox) can be a factor, but more likely there are other sources contributing. For women, this can lead to fibriods, cancers of the reproductive organs, breast cancer etc. It's a vast subject, and there are many things you can do to help correct imbalances - detoxifying and eliminating sources chief among them. Taking supplements is helpful too in conjunction.
Hormone levels are best tested by saliva. It's simple to do, in fact you can order these tests yourself online. It's a good thing for most anyone to check.
RawZi, yes! especially not both at the same time - coffee enemas and liver flushes!
Quite honestly, it disturbs me, that liver flushes are recommended as a blanket remedy without much qualification. I know that I'm not the only person to have caused myself worse problems for doing this. If someone is very toxic, it really doesn't make sense to dump all of that in your colon. A lot of it is likely to get reabsorbed, enemas or not.
I was just learning about the role of soluble fiber in removing toxic wastes from the liver (bile) from Daniel Vitalis. It's a good idea to eat soluble fiber when using herbs that detox the liver - it will absorb the bile and toxins and allow it to pass out of the body safely, rather than be reabsorbed.
For hormone testing, there is a website called directlabs.com that is commonly recommended. Another is canaryclub.org - canary being a reference to those of us sensitive individuals who react easily to environmental toxins!
I've not tried magnets or polarity. Hmmm. I do some general energy work and that helps. What I hope to do more intensively when I can afford to is systemic enzymes. Those are supposed to be a big help. I think my fibroids are largely disappearing with the cleansing I've been doing, getting on the right herbs, and getting good nutrition that I can absorb. But I lose a lot of blood still, and I can tell I am detoxing through my blood. Hopefully that will slow down soon!
How would you do kineseology on your saliva? I know a TFT protocol that is supposed to balance hormones, but I've never stayed with it long enough to get results. It is apparently one of those areas that takes persistence, even with energy.
I meant to say too, RawZi, there are other ways to detox the liver and gallbladder that are much gentler. I've been using the South American herb chanca piedra (which literally means "break stone") and it is without a doubt removing gallstones - I can see them! There are a number of herbs that help with this action. A far superior strategy in my opinion!
There is always energy- even for the weakest of us! It's surprisingly easy to "gather" energy from the earth and heavens and then fuse it with your own. It is ever abundant! In fact, within minutes of getting into the proper posture and breathing/visualizing, my palms are warm and tingling with energy:)
When I was very weak, it was helpful for me to have my qigong doctor transmit his energy to me until I learned to cultivate my own.
PS- if you want to really supercharge your meditation to heal your adrenals (also kidneys/bladder/endocrine system), imagine a beautiful indigo or violet color (the kidney meridian color) and as you inhale into your belly, imagine the word "chreeeeee" and direct the breath into the adrenals/kidneys.
Here are the other organ system colors (I don't remember the sounds off hand):
It's true, there is always energy. It just takes the presence of mind to connect with it. If the weakness affects your ability to think clearly (which was definitely true for me), then it's challenging. It's like, when you're energy is scrambled, you don't *realize* that your energy is scrambled, and it doesn't occur to you that you have the power to do something to help yourself. At least, that is my experience :)
Thank you for the tips, I didn't know the meridians had colors associated with them (makes sense though - sounds as well), and I will definitely check out the DVD!
Thank you so much, that is what I love about GI2MR, all of the wonderful knowledge that is so lovingly shared. I am actually towards the end of a 3 month internship at the Creative Heath Institute (an Ann Wigmore based program) and have been 100% raw for over two months. I went raw in September 2007 and yo-yo'd for the last year and a half but was never below about 60% raw. Oh, and I also give myself Reiki every night which heals the endrocrine system. I definitely have toxins still from years of prescription drug use but am feeling better every day. I will definitely check out Dragon Herbs as I have been using milk thistle lately to try to cleanse a bit.
Thanks again!
Emily
PS- I just checked out the Adrenal Fatigue website and he has some supplement programs, just FYI: http://www.adrenalfatigue.org
hi Erin. that was good advice. I used to do alot of chi gung and a tai chi set. Erin, on another thread someone mentioned Dr. Clement. He advocates no smoothies...calls them recreation food or something. Says they ruin food values. Also he is opposed to a lot of the superfood claims including honey cacao, etc. more into seaweed, sprouts. I am a sweetness fiend...I love dates, agave, etc. what do you think about these issues? thanks, John
I know you didn't ask me, but my experience puts me in alignment with David Wolfe's advice, and not with Dr. Clement. There are lots of reasons... more than one could easily outline...
Pretty interesting. It was hard to tell what he was for and against though, haha. I would hope to be in as good condition as him when I'm 91..... or better :j
I guess if you think of it as eating raw as what God intended, and makes us the purest version physically of what were meant to be, then maybe it is a way to get closer to God and clear away the distracting mess of sickness, and the hormone and em...
Here is Part 4 to the Stanley Bass interview. Many people have asked me what I think about this interview, I will be posting a video reply in my next episode after this one.
The sun (or bright snow, bright sky, light bulbs, etc.) totally make me sneeze. It seems to be genetic- my dad does it too. It's called "Photic Sneeze Reflex":
