Give it to me Raw

Hi,

My skin is turning Brown day by day. I don't know if it's happening because I expose myself to Sunlight or dusty environment.

My skin was not this dark.

I wasn't this dark when I happened to use Soaps, but I have not been using soaps for quite few years could be 7 or 8 years.

I heard that soaps have Sodium Hydroxide that spoils the outer layer on the skin, so i stopped it.
Then I started using rather I would say rubbing Power made out of Moong seeds on to my skin instead of soaps while taking bathe. It's good. Now a days I am rubbing with a cotton cloth. Due to this all my skin pores are open and clean, I feel the softness on my skin and i remain fresh even if I take bathe once in a day.

But the problem is I am turning brown.

Can anybody here suggest me if there is any better way to gain my original skin color.
I used to look very fair, I had the russian skin color before experimenting with the moong powder or the cloth bathe :)

I don't wanna use Soaps. Please let me know if there are any natural way of taking bathe.

thanks in advance :)

Ram focus on the beauty of you and your skin. You do not need to move only change your mind and your heaven is where you are. SELF LOVE AND APPRECIATION are the most powerful tools.
If you see your skin as beautiful you will attract others who see you as beautiful.
RELAX and the world relaxes with you.

Thats very unfortunate, embrace your skin tone, or you can use some spf 50 sunscreen

Try to find Natural Soaps that do not have Na/Sodium based chemicals. They wont be as foamy or lathery but should clean you up.

About the tanning - That is probably not because of Soap or Mung. I was much fairer when I was younger but used to play a lot in the Indian Outdoors in the Summer.

In fact, if I spent like 2 hours in the water (pool or beach) on some day I would get tanned. In fact, everyone I know gets tanned.

It has to do with Sunny outdoors & reflective surfaces i.e. Water.. and Snow.. (I went Skiing in Kashmir recently and man... everyone got tanned).

PS: The whole fair vs dark thing in traditional indian society is because of "lack" or rarity of fair color in those communities.

Opposite is true when a lovely tan is something a large amount of Caucasian population dies for.. sitting in the sun, burning skin, risking cancer.

Look at it this way. Your skin has the ability to protect you from the Sun by converting instead of becoming prone to skin cancer.

ok chlorine is not good news for skin. i have leg rashes on and off still. and i remember reacting to chlorine when i used to swim as a kid.

maybe you should try natural sunscreen. coconut oil acts as a great natural sunscreen.if you mix it with lemon juice it lightens tans.

i have no probs with tans. i dont tan as much and do not get sun burns. however my leg rashes are not fully clear. and i have marks still, though fading. it is ok. am very happy with my skin overall.

yes mangoes are just coming over. i had some gorgeous alphonsoes the other day. TOTALLY DIVINE.
i like them mono really or in smoothies. no jelly.

i don't know if this would be good for you, but i have bathed with sea salt and lemon before and it was ok on my skin. maybe a bit drying. i can relate with not thinking my skin is the best. i am fair-skinned and for my whole life i pretty much ignored that, working and playing outside, getting as freckled and tan as it is possible to get for someone with red hair when i was younger. even now to some degree. but what is termed 'skin cancer' has affected me for some while now and it is one of the reasons why i went raw. not the only reason. my reasons for being raw are beyond the physical, but also of the physical.

i'll say this too Ramakrishna...you are alright with being who you are. really. all best and peace!

Right--it's good in smoothies too. It's a necessity when there's no fruit in there!

In water with a twist of lemon or lime, in teas, in water (with flavored stevia), and with millet or quinoa.

Hi Lizz, I haven't tried yacon; I think it's still too sweet, technically. I believe stevia is truly the only natural sweetener that is not a form of sugar. When I add vanilla flavor and a little coconut oil to the stevia, it's kind of like maple...
