Give it to me Raw

I've been playing aorund with using various essential oils to enhance moods, to relax, to wake up, to make certain moments more ~rich~ For example lime & verbena make me feel dreamy and so relaxed, Patchoili brightens my mood when I feel sluggish...

I've also been toying around with using them on chakra points to aid in meditation and opening the ones I don't have very open right now. I LOVE spikenard on 3rd eye/ anja.

Is anyone else good at this? Have any advice for what oil when & where? Any suggestions as to the BEST suppliers?

i live by essential oils for everything from mood to skin treatments to sleep to housecleaning. i recently had a two month period where i was moved to put neroli on my sternum and my forehead several times a day. grapefruit gives me joy. ylang ylang helps me let go. lavender helps me everything- it's like a balancing tonic for me. cypress is very grounding for me. right now i'm drawn to the EJUVA cleanse Vibram oil for emotional clearing. there are some great aromatherapy books out there recommending how to use your oils in synergistic blends for all of the above things....

as far as brands i have aura cacia, young living, now brand, EO, and a few more from apothecary ananda and whatnot online.... depends on the oil.....

Oooh I have some grapefruit scented oxygen coming tomorrow, I can't wait to try it!! This month has been a crapper for me... I could use some joy.

Interesting what you say about lavendar. Lavendar and spikenard are related. I even saw a bottle once listed as 'lavendar spikenard." I've also read that's what the woman who poured oil over Jesus' head the day before his crucifiction used... (tho in Jesus Christ Superstar which is probably THE BEST MOVIE EVER Mary does the pouring and sings "sleep and I shall soothe you, calm you and annoint you, MYRRH for your hot forehead.")

Do you use these on your skin regularly? Many times I've found just sniffing the bottle, or putting a drop on a paper in my pocket or hand bag is enough. In fact, the chakra oils are the only ones I've even tried applying for a use other than smelling nice (I always use a citrus, usually lime, as an every day scent).

How do you use in house keeping? For actual cleaning or just to create a mood in a room?

What books do you recommend on essential oils? I know next to nothing about the topic.

Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit, by Gabriel Mojay. It's best if you can study them in a workshop with people, so you can meditate with the plant essences and intuitively understand how they work. Their scent is very telling, so even smelling samples is a way of learning.

I like to use lavender a lot. It always makes me feel calm and happy. I like grapefruit for feeling happy and awake and I often use rosemary at work to help me focus and concentrate sometimes mixed with orange.

There are several places in my area to buy oils... the natural foods stores have some (like Wholefoods) and a new agey-type book store... I'm not big on shopping online so I haven't got any links, sorry.

What's Au Lac? Vietnamese restaurant? What did you do with the Eucalyptus? Inhale??

Check out Young Living. They are Organic and of the purist grade. If he cannot get the herbs pure enough he does not make the oil. You can also email mail me for special offers for their oils and nebulizers.

Sure, too much fat is bad for the liver. But fat isn't per se bad for the liver, is it? Not only in 811 but also other people say to limit the fat but maybe raw plant fat helps to flush out some stuff out of the liver? When you've been on a fat fr...

Think more systematically. Instead of thinking of it meaning a problem like 'weak liver' it may mean, time to fast. Think of it as more like youre body is undergoing a load of eliminating stuff all at once. (and in this case perhaps, too fast(this...
