Anyone out there living in Nepal? I'd like to chat about this with you coz am considering options for emigrating and Nepal is a place I loved so much when I was there a long time ago. So don't be shy, drop me a line I would be so pleased to connect with you...
it is all relative. I think it is pretty harsh over here but in a different way.
I have been to Nepal and travelled all over Asia, I felt more at home there than I do here.
There are juice bars in Kathmandu, and a weekly organic fruit and veg market there too...it is predominately vegetarian being a Hindu country.
Hi Lee,
Thanks for responding. Yes I was thinking of Kathmandu to begin with, to find my feet..I loved it there.
It is the different intention, focus of people there, which makes it is an attractive place for me to be, rather than here in the West.
One Guru I know who lives in the Himalayas, came here to England to visit recently and he went to walk around one of our cities one busy Saturday, and he said he didn't see one Soul all day...just empty bodies wandering around...
I can do without electricity, etc etc...I just don't care about that stuff at all... Just to have people who share my intentions and focus on my doorstep, even the language barrier wouldn't bother me, and is easily overcome with a little effort on my part.
I hope you make it over there for your retreat.
Yes there must be a karmic pull, I can't explain the magnetic pull of the place, it has definately got a hold of me right now ;0
Love to you.
yes I appreciate that, and everyone's different, has different tolerances and intolerances, wants and needs...
Maybe I'll set up my own juice bar too, to cater for all my raw friends who will come and visit ;)
Have you been to or considered India? I will be living in HP province of Nothern India soon. I'll be close to Nepal in the foothills of the Himalayas. I will be attempting to stay raw by eating fruits. I live in Boston now but will leave soon for India. I would be very interested to hear about your traveling experiences in Nepal and Asia. Peace!
I travelled in India before and I prefered Nepal. As soon as we got into Nepal I felt like I was in heaven, it is hard to describe but I just felt at home. It was wierd. I liked India a lot, and if I ever get to live in Nepal then I would be visiting India a lot as there are loads of places there I want to go. Especially the rural areas, I travelled in the cities and towns before.
What made you choose the spot where you are going to live?
How long are you going to live there for and what are you doing about the legalities of living there over a long peroid/permanently?
i know for me eating the right way of raw,for my body type, makes me more in tune with myself my spirituality,my surroundings and those around me,i am more sensitive, everything is enhanced and at times very amplified....striving for that balance,an...
I like to do fasts as well and I think the power in fasting is that its a remedial action, one part of the process of purifiying. For instance if you feel you have a lot of non-virtuous residue or spiritual obstacles to remove, you generate regret...
Loren,
Was your fast that regained your health a supervised one, and with whom? How long was your fast? What did you eat like before that?
Do you mind me asking what health challenges you were experiencing?
Who did you intern under yourself? I ...
A group for people who are still transitioning, just learned about raw, or are struggling at all and want to help each other out with tips, support, questions and answers.
don't agree with the whole raw food creating a damp environment thing because of the wildly different effects of different raw foods. i've found candida to respond to 100% raw, several different approaches.
