Give it to me Raw

Avatar Koo

Anyone else massively crave/need fats and oils and cholesterol?

All my life, I've been a total fat fiend...

I prefer the most oiliest fish, the most fattiest cuts of red meat, bacon, butter, etc.. I could give up carbs and sugar forever, but I will seriously go ape-shit if I don't have fatty-fatty-fat.

Also - I feel extremely healthy when I eat a very rare, fatty steak everyday. Yes - everyday. I used to cook the steak and then put butter + bacon + fried egg on top. <-- DELICIOUS!

If I eat carbs, I look tired and drawn - but with enough butter in my diet, I look amazing. My skin is glowing, my hair is shiny, and I have a sparkle in my eye.

Anyone else just love tons of the saturated stuff?

no - but it sure sounds intriguing.

How is it different from "normal" butter?

Never had raw bacon - but I barely cook my bacon (I don't like it crunchy at all).

Uncooked oils also make me feel weird. Like, people love to drench their salads with olive oil - but I'd much rather eat a "dry" salad and have my fat in a piece of red meat instead.

And I dislike nuts and seeds, too. They make me feel heavy and lethargic. Especially sprouted seeds - sometimes I want to barf after I eat them (so I stopped).

I'm not crazy about lemon (taste like Pledge or Lysol to me), but kefir sounds very interesting. Thanks for tip...

I typically eat:

breakfast: mono fruit or nothing
lunch: a huge green salad with an huge side of cooked protein
dinner: depends. I may eat nothing, or maybe a smoothie, or sushi, or some meat dish.

I do fast once a week, mainly out of laziness (I don't cook, so I have to order food or go out).

I am trying to up the green juices and smoothies, and I do go weeks at a time where I eat only raw vegan. I guess I'm trying to find a good medium.

No, I don't eat many meats raw - mainly because the meat is non-organic/non-grass-fed.

I do find that having a large green juice before eating my meat dishes is a great combo - I feel really healthy, clean and energetic afterwards.

ohhh for me it's oily fish and chocolate!! lovelovelove chocolate - very difficult for me to give up! but I eat ALOT of raw healthy food so its okay right?? :D yeah i've tried raw chocolate but it's not the same - and it's very expensive! - specially for a student like me!! :O Do u think it's okay to be high raw but have a 'normal' treat now and again or is it better to be 100%? thats great that u enjoy your bacon haha! :D I still eat eggs too! I think that if a little bit of what we like now and again keeps us happy, then thats great! :)

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh ...............Charlotte, you're obviously on the right path because you're not being neurotic about it! Better to eat a little dubious food like raw chocolate and be happy than an uptight purist, huh?!

Hey Rawzi-

can you tell me about the theory of not combining fiber with fat? What's that about?

Reply to This

How long is fiber supposed to irritate babies' tummies? A lot of people give their babies high fiber diets full of cereals, etc.

All my daughter wants to eat is high fat foods. If she could get her hands on it, she would sit and eat coconut butter by the spoonful. She would eat as much raw goat's cheese as I would give her. She just discovered hemp milk and loves that too.

i think blood type may have to do with it,if u're O then this should be the reason of your cravings..

hi magical I use to fast before I was a raw vegan so I did not feel I needed to detox first. But everyone is different. I think if someone is doing drugs and other things they might want to wait to do a long fast.
